Had hydrocephalus since 22 months old had a shunt fitted and had this functioning and working well throughout my childhood up until last year April without any issues or problems.

Suffered a severe blockage in April last year were I underwent a full surgery and refit of the shunt , there after suffering a TAI mini stroke after it too

Looking for like minded people who may have experienced a similar thing or have the condition I do

Hi Gemjam. I too have a shunt. I got mine in 1987 when I was 14. I have obstructive hydrocephalus, the result of an AVM blocking my ventricles. I was born with this, its just that it didn't cause issues until puberty. My shunt has been revised 4 times when it blocked or became infected and the hydro returned. In 2016 I had a stroke 'mimic' although this possibly had no connection to my other problems. If I can help in any way please do reach out.
