Humira
I am starting
humira
in a couple of weeks. Do all these drugs have basically the same side effects for treating RA. I am more afraid of the side effects from the meds than I am of the disease. Please don't take this in the wrong way. I guess I am still in denial.

My rheumy is reluctant to give me any more drugs for RA re bad reaction and limited response to others (enbrel,
humira
etc). Over the last few years I cannot seem to catch a break, last year was diagnosed with underactive thyroid, the year before osteo as well as RA, lung disease and eye disease.

Access to biologics in different CCG
I have 5
Humira
shots in the fridge, that takes me up to early October (there's no way I can get any more, believe me). If I move in a month's time, see a new rheumy 2 months later, he or she applies for
Humira
funding and gets approval within 2 months, well that takes me up to Christmas!

Odd Onset Symptoms - question on biological & infusions
Just heard such negative things from people getting cancer on
Humira
, I know 2 myself and how they lower your immune system and are more susceptible to diseases: viruses. Does anyone have any suggestions one over the other? What do the infusions do?

Humira and hypothyroid
I have rheumatoid arthritis, which is well controlled by
humira
injections (fortnightly). I went gluten free three years ago and also avoid some other foods. Problem is, I felt fantastic when I started on 50 mcg levothyroxin, but that faded after a couple of weeks.

Joint pain
Is this a side effect of crohns or a side effect of
Humira
? I've had crohns for almost 40 years and never had so many pains all over my body.

Living with RA
After about a 1 year on Methotrexate and 5 months on
Humira
, I'm ok. The swelling in my fingers at least is not getting worse, and is slightly better. I'm not incapacitated by any means (my husband still has to open the jar lids, however).

humira, waiting, and stress
am prescribed
humira
2 injections 2 weeks apart then a 3 week wait and blood tests for cytokines repeated. If cytokines are still too high then another 2 injections of
humira
required. Am finding it hard with all the waiting - before ivf even starts. Trying to do lots to take my mind off things.
