UK and Flu vaccine
Had to go to the GPs today to pick up a repeat prescription for hypertension. While I was waiting for the receptionist to finish on the phone I spotted flu vaccine flyers and a list of dates/times to get flu jab. Now booked for wife and I on 23rd Sept. It's now approaching the time to get in line

It's that time of year again!
Hi everyone, I have just received my appointment through for my annual flu vaccination. Having only been diagnosed with PMR in June, would you more knowledgeable people on here recommend that I go ahead with it or not?

Flu vaccines?
This is a quick question. I've taken a flu shot for many years, usually in September. I believe I've read that some vaccinations are contraindicated while on Pred. But I don't know if ALL vaccinations are contraindicated. Any advice?

HPV
vaccine
is for young girls aged 12/13 prior engaging in sex, unfortunately; they start younger and there will be individuals who were 'too old' for the vaccine. I think as a community we need to come together to look 'age' restrictions and being too old or too young in regards our health!

Flu vaccine
Hello friends, I finished 6 rounds of FCR in March. I was so disappointed to discover last month that my white cell count and neuts were lower than when I was going through chemo. Had bloods checked last week and still the same. I've just returned to work at a school but am nervous now I've heard all

Australia's big flu season and some possible reasons. Will the Northern Hemisphere follow with a bad season?
Want to know how flu cases are tracked and the common types determined? Or how each year's flu vaccine is designed? Ian M. Mackay, Adjunct assistant professor and Katherine Arden, Virologist, The University of Queensland look at the reasons behind this year's big flu season in Australia: https://theconversation.com

unsure of test
So I had unprotected sex recently. I freaked out as he was a drug user. According to him he tests every 3 months for his program. I did a home HIV test negative. I have had a cold and so I decided to take a responsible approach and get tested again at a doctors. I did every STD test and everything came

Shingles vaccine
Hi, my wife has recently been diagnosed with CLL fortunately at 0 stage at present. I have reached a landmark age (70) triggering an invite for a Shingles vaccination which I am believe is a live vaccine and if I have a reaction this could be a potential danger to someone with a compromised immune system

Before 11am - Flu jab reminder
Hi all, I've just received a txt from GP surgery re flu jab walk in clinics so thought I'd remind everyone to aim to have jab before 11am for maximum efficacy. The earlier the better I'd say!

Flu vaccination delivery option updates
I don't think anyone enjoys being jabbed in the arm, so here's some encouraging news on flu vaccination alternatives...

HPV vaccine
Hi everyone, I'm after a bit of advice regarding my daughter having the
HPV
vaccine
. I don't want her to have it, all of her peers have had it and she was happy with the decision we'd made but now she is having second thoughts and is worrying she will get cervical cancer.

Did my Hashimoto start after this hardship/trauma?
I know this sounds absurd, How do I know when my body started producing thyroid antibodies? I know that Summer 2015 was stressful and traumatic, someone emotionally hurt me, that was the worst betrayal in my life because I felt I was being used and taken as stupid. Anyway, you don't want to read my horrible

Shingles vaccine (Zostavax)?
I had a routine visit with my PCP yesterday. She recommended I get Zostavax 2 mos. before considering Ocrevus or any of the other newer meds. Yrs. ago, my neuro recommended against Zostavax because it's a live attenuated vaccine. I believe NMSS or MSSA now say it's up to you and your doc. I wondered
