2.5 years since my 3rd ablation
It has been awhile since I have last posted after my cardiac tamponade during my 2nd ablation and thought I would give an update and share the good news. My 3rd ablation went well and it has been over 2 years since I had it done. I have had no afib episodes since then. In fact I just had a heart

Adventures with Cabazitaxel
Hey gang, Was supposed to begin the first of six Cabazitaxel sessions last Friday(the six Taxotere rechallenge failed) , but the pharmacy messed up the mixture and it got moved to today! Looked up the cost, and Kaiser wasted $7800 with that error. Hoping the switch to Cabazitaxel does the job.

Government responded to “Do not put fluoride in all tap water.” (basically we are being forced to have it whether want it or not)
Government responded: Water fluoridation is a safe and effective public health measure to improve oral health. Public consultation will be an important part of the process ahead of introducing any new schemes. Tooth decay is a significant public health problem in England, yet it is largely preventable

Colchicine
I wonder how many were given Colchicine after their ablation and for how long? Were you able to stay on it or did side effects cause you to discontinue it? Reading medical journals it appears to reduce early AFib reoccurrences by up to 40% in some trials. In other trials up to 50% discontinued it due

Flecainide with Afib and LBBB?
Hello, In a bid to stop me going into Afib my electrophysiologist has stopped my very low dose of bisop for what I think says Diltiazen ER and flecainide 100mg bd. I was previously told by my cardiologist I should not take flecainide due to my LBBB. I did mention this to the EP, who said my heart function

Uric Acid: A Double Edged Sword
From a study on Pubmed - Uric Acid (UA), historically considered as a waste of cellular metabolism, has now received increasing attention because it was found to directly participate in the pathogenesis of many human diseases including neurological disorders. On one hand, low levels of UA are detrimental

High uric acid diet for PD?
My husband had his uric acid tested recently and it was out of range low, lower than even the medians for PD patients in most of the uric acid studies on Pubmed. He has been eating a diet to raise his uric acid levels and testing his uric acid at home with test strips I bought on Amazon. He feels

The Thermodynamic Consequences of Parkinson's Disease
Several lines of evidence point to a pervasive disturbance of energy balance in Parkinson's disease (PD). Weight loss, common and multifactorial, is the most observable sign of this. Bradykinesia may be best understood as an underinvestment of energy in voluntary movement. This accords with rodent experiments

Idebenone can be toxic or beneficial depending on its oxidation-reduction state.
Idebenone is a CoQ10 clone that is smaller and will pass the BBB. I have some and have taken it a few times but I don't anymore. Every once and awhile I reconsider it. Not going to be restarting it this week. Just too many question marks. The effects of idebenone on mitochondrial bioenergetics 2012

Movelat cream v Edoxaban
My GP has prescribed Movelat cream for me. I am on Edoxaban 60 mg plus Bisoprolol 2.5 mg for AF. GP says it's okay to use the cream but pharmacist says it may conflict with my anticoagulants. W hat should I do. No help on the internet.

It seems to be working
Well guess what, when Myhubby58 was in the delirium stage, the Hospice Nurse figured out it was the lorazepam that was making him have hallucinations. And now that she took him off of that, he is no longer having them.. Thank You Jesus.. Now they have him on dextamethazone, methadone, and oxycodene,

Calquence and muscle/joint pain
Hi all, After a week on Calquence, my hubs is in excruciating pain - from the hips down. Can barely walk, can't sleep, etc. The pharmacist thinks this is a side effect from the Calquence. He's been taking hydrocodone left over from a procedure and I'm applying BioFreeze, which sort of takes the edge

Do medium-chain triglycerides downregulate mTOR?
I ran across some info about MCTs turning off mTOR and amping up AMPK (possibly resulting in an increase in autophagy and also lipolysis). Does anyone have any info on whether or not MCTs are potentially beneficial for prostate cancer?

Switching from Eliquis to a one a day 325mg Aspirin
Hi guys, just curious, Has anybody been on Eliquis and then changed to one aspirin 325 mg a day instead? I was diagnosed with Afib in 2018 but have maybe one episode a year so my Dr. told me to switch from Eliquis to one 325mg aspirin a day. I am concerned that the aspirin won’t thin my blood enough

KT/V Test
I recently took Another KT/V and it came back below passing… with that being said I’m set to retake it again next week and if I don’t get a passing number on this next one then they will put me back on Hemodialysis which I feel will be a death sentence because I went to PD because the staff that worked

Do you feel jelly lately? Try Koko Jelly Dessert. 😉😋❤️🌺
Happy Tuesday everyone! Hope your day is joyful so far! 🤗 I had leftovers for food so I decided to make some yummy jelly. 😋 Main ingredients: Clear Gelatin, purée passion fruits, mangos, maple syrup and coconut milk. It’s any clear gelatin you can get from supermarket. The key is creating layer by
