My rheumy sent me to a neurologist as he thought I had chronic neuropathy. It wasn't! Neurologist thought 'chronic tendonosis'. (Both bl...y painful though)!
Not sure what I have!π
Since, I have read on here some of you have 'burning' in knees and ankles and put it down to arthritis.
I think I'll give up going to doctors!ππ

Don't blame you. I have been putting off going to doc with these pins and needles in my hand and a now nearly unuseable thumb joint in the other hand because of the pain. I really can't face it but none of its getting any better so need to bite the bullet. Did they give you anything for the tendonitis?
Not tendonitis (that's not quite so bad, painful, but likely to be 'cured' at some time or another), tendonosis is damaged tendons and 20% are permanent. Trust me to be in the 20%!!
They suggested painkillers, ice, heat and rest. No change there then (practically the same as PMR and OA).π
I've had the burning knees and GP just gave a blank look - when we have so many health problems they sometimes don't know where to start! However it has eased and did look at what I'd been doing when it started - nothing really except I'd had a dodgy to push supermarket trolley and swear it twisted my knee, all okay now.
You're worse than me sorry to say. I have OA in the upper body started 2002 and ten surgeries followed - I try to ignore it when anything starts lower down - it's probably inevitable I just have to be careful like the trolley instance - who would have thought that would affect my knee but I am thankful it comes and goes - have never followed it up for that reason.
Hope you get some comfort now the sun is trying to warm up, certainly does give a psychological boost. xxx
