Kidney Biopsy and igA nephropathy (UPDATE POST-BIOPSY)
Hi. I am due for a kidney biopsy next week and wasn't given much tips on what to prepare or not do post biopsy other than stay in bed for 6hrs. Doctor told me that I might have igAn based on my proteinuria and high hematuria. I am very concerned as I am only 24 years old and a female trying to start

Had to go to ER for High BP. Anyone have advice on how long it takes to go down?
Recently went to ER as BP went to 265/184. Blood work showed no issues. MRI showed no brain bleed and echo was good (small murmur doc said nothing to be concerned about). Was told I dodged a bullet. Hospital was able to lower to 180ās over 90ās in three days. On 100 mg amlodipine and 10 mg of losartan

"High-Fat" or "Healthy-Fat"
It's often said on HU that this approach should be called "Healthy-Fat". Though the fats we eat should be healthy, I think "Low-Carb High-Fat" is the right name. A name doesn't need to explain every tiny aspect of the plan, just enough to show what it is. Once you cut the carbs, you either go low calorie

Levothyroxine and Oxycodone
Hi has anyone taken both the above drugs without any interactions. Waiting on a hips replacement and the leaflet in the Oxycodone says do not take if you have a thyroid problem. Doctor has prescribed though.

Hey everyone. I joined here a few weeks ago having been diagnosed with angina. I have obviously had cardiac problems building up over the years but I've been asymptomatic (as far as I am aware). Following a CT scan and an angiogram (both of which were great, the medics and staff all brilliant) I need

Ace inhibitors versus arbs
I am new to the forum. I have taken blood pressure medication for a number of years: 25mg Atenolol; 2.5mg Ramipril and as these didn't control BP, bendroflumathiazide was added. With the medication BP was around 145/75. My GP stopped bendroflumothiazide last year. Ramipril was increased, but BP
