Neonatal Hepatitis
Hello. My daughter was born 08/01/2017. In the last two weeks we have found out she has liver disease (neonatal Hepatitis) she goes on Tuesday to have a biopsy of her liver. I am a complete mess. I know it’s a fairly easy procedure but I am so nervous. I’m just looking for other parents who have had

I'm new - worried about auto-immune hepatitis
Hi everyone A month ago I went for a routine blood test which found my liver functioning was abnormal. My GP and hepatologist confirmed it is not any form of hepatitis or glandular fever, which they originally thought it would be. Given that my mother has rheumatoid arthritis, they are now testing

Boron, not boring!
Boron is a mineral that works at cell level, along with magnesium and calcium. But many Western ‘civilised’ societies lack it in their diet due to eg depletion of soil by moving away from natural fertilisation methods like composting. See what you think: http://www.arthritistrust.org/wp-content/uploads

Went to Dr today
So, after being diagnosed PBC/AIH overlap syndrome, my GI put me on prednisone (10mg long term) along with the Urso and Atarax. My last blood tests on Monday showed my levels elevated but still dropping. My bilirubin is at 6.9 now. Saw my PC this morning and asked him if he could see my liver biopsy.

Treatment and appetite
Hi there, since being diagnosed with hep c I've found, along with other symptoms, that I have no appetite. I know it says online that eating a balanced diet is important, but most days I don't have the enthusiasm to cook myself a nice meal so I'm mostly at my parents house or eating desserts and small

Getting Told You Have Hep C.
When your first diagnosed with Hep C ask questions as I can remember when I was first told and I cried all the way home as I thought I was going to die within a short time as I knew nothing about the disease then. So look up Hep C support online and ask them what ever you want all their volunteers and

This process took a year, you had to go dry alcohol wise and inject yourself weekly. The teatment was so debilitating i didnt consider it Im now listed for treatment

Tips for newly diagnosed people with Hep C from a veteran.
Firstly, try to live as clean as possible. If you are someone who has Hepatitis C you really need to look after yourself. If you can afford to, eat organic wherever possible. If money is tight, some items of fruit & veg are not as important as others to have organic. Find a list of the important ones

Thinning hair with PBC? Urso side effects?
This is a random post and my first. After almost 3 years of symptoms, I was FINALLY diagnosed with PBC. I had been on Imuran because they thought it was autoimmune hepatitis, but my livers enzymes actually doubled while I was on it. I’ve also been on Prednisone for almost 5 months and am in the process

What do you know now that you wish you had been told when you were first diagnosed?
I was extremely lucky with the Consultants that explained everything to me about my coinfection of HCV & HIV. I didn't know the steep learning curve that I was going to go through. As I learned about both of these viruses I had. I knew about Hepatitis B and had been vaccinated for this. Actually, I
