Taken off blood thinners, told I don’t have APS 14 years after being diagnosed. 22 years to find out what was wrong, now don’t know
I told the dr who then prescribed me
heparin
. The tia symptoms reduced. I explained this to the consultant in London and She said it was coincidence. They have now stopped anticoagulants and have said I don’t have APS. My bloods are now negative.

INR levels fluctuate on a daily basis
I am my worse enemy on the rare ocassion as 3 times in the past 3 months I have missed my dose, which has meant my having 18000 ul fragmin (
heparin
) injections for a few days to counteract the missed dose. Sorry I've just checked above and even I cannot see a question there.

For anyone who has taken Heparin or Clexane
I believe that aspirin,
heparin
and clexane are sometimes prescribed. I’m due to start FET prep in the next couple of weeks and will call the clinic to ask but keen to hear people’s experience! Thanks ❤️

Anyone taken Heparin with Et?
The hospital gave me
heparin
injections for 10 days due to being immobile. I was at a minor injuries unit and the nurse I saw had no knowledge of Et so she checked with a consultant at the main hospital site whether it was ok for me to take
Heparin
. She said it was but tbh she didn’t seem certain.

High frequency pulsing tinnitus affected by outside noise sources
After years of regular tinnitus I now have pulsative tinnitus which is in the form of any high frequency sound (like traffic/ kettle boiling, wind etc) pulses in my right ear rather than being clear. Its always there but made worse by outside sounds which is tricky as I use a fan to help sleep and cover

Hearing test?
I know we are all different but I was just wondering if the general view is that Puretone audiometry, tympanometry and otoaccoustic testing is OK to go ahead with when you have tinnitus. I appreciate things needs to be measured but am a bit fearful of anything in my ears that will create a reaction.

Starting to give up
I have felt my hearing has just got dramatically worse and I fear if I tell my employers about it they might reproach me. It's so horrible having this at 20. I have tried everything to stop it worsening such as earplugs etc in heavy traffic etc and everything but don't know what else to do. I sometimes

Where to go from here
I am feeling utterly despondent and quite frankly mentally debilitated after my audiology assessment. The mere thought of hospitals induces a fear within myself I can't describe. Something about the clinical nature of the whole procedure is quite scary. Regardless, after having my first appointment
