Prescribed NDT on NHS now doctor refusing to prescribe. Help!
I has to move GP Practise and before moving to current one I asked to speak to a GP. Receptionist said it wasnt necessary if a nhs consultant has recommended they will prescribe. So wouldn't get a doctor to phone me. I moved. All seem good but my repeats were not being set up. So became concerned.

Bisoprolol & Apixaban
Early sixties. Coming up to two years when I had peridarditis which developed into permanent afib until I had cardio version four months later. Been mostly clear since then but occasional bursts of arrythmia, typically early beats. Think I was stressed out but have also given up alcohol and now exercising

It was reported in October 23 but only today did i received a copy of the result sent to my GP. It shows short runs of atrial tachycardia and short runs of AF and I will

Return of the Duck. The Saga Continues.......
Good morning guys and gals.Hope everyone is as well as they can be. Well, here's the promised update from a couple of years ago but to be fair, nothing much had happened on the heart surgery front, I'd been in nsr and I have still been contributing replies. Settle down with a strong drink of choice,

can heart function improve ?
After my husbands stroke seven months ago he was diagnosed with stage 2 heart failure . I asked the arrhythmia nurse if there was a chance he could have another eco cardiogram to see if this had improved because how do we know how much exercise is safe etc if we don’t know this ? She just sort of stared

Dissected Aorta Type A
Hello, my father is a 78 year old man who has recently been diagnosed with a dissected aorta type A. He had quadruple heart bypass 11 years ago. In October 2023 he stopped taking his Furosemide- a stupid thing to do as it started off a rollercoaster of health problems, now resulting in this diagnosis

Previous Heart attack/stent
2016 when my life changed. I look back now and see that my life in a wierd form changed for the better following my heart attack at the age of 55. Ablation Number Four
Further to my post a few days ago where I described my disappointment at slipping back into ‘Possible AF’ just 10 weeks after my third ablation, I have now seen my EP. He analysed the print out of an ECG and feels that I am now experiencing atrial tachycardia rather than af and that it is worth doing

Cardiac surgery
Has anyone on long term thyroid meds had open-heart cardiac repair surgery? Any ideas as to whether it affects thyroid and any need to up/ lower T4/T3 meds? Any reflections/suggestions would be most welcome.

Cardiac open heart surgery
Hi to all Has anyone with metastatic breast cancer had open heart cardiac surgery and might you share your experience with me please? I only saw my surgeon yesterday and am now scheduled for Monday. How amazing is that but I'm just a bit scared. It's one of those 'be careful what you wish for' situations

Mitral Valve repair

vasospastic coronary arteries
Well after 3 years and one aortic aneurysm fixed as a bonus, a consultant at an and e last night said ‘ you had better be tested for vasospastic coronary arteries ( well he said Prinzvariant actually) .
