I am 27F, currently 7 months pregnant. I currently weigh 209 but have lost 45lbs over the past year and a half. I was a big drinker in college and after but have greatly cut back and obviously stopped during this pregnancy and my first one. I went to my doctor a couple years ago with RUQ pain and had an ultrasound that said hepatic steatosis. About 7 months ago I had another as I still have occasional episodes of pain. It said the same thing- hepatic steatosis. Last month I got an Elastography and it came back with a score of 4.4kpa.
My blood tests have always come back in a normal range- alt and ast below 25. With the exception of one test last year where they were 38 and 48. They went down after modifying my diet.
I felt reassured as I do have health anxiety. And I think pregnancy hormones have worsened this anxiety.
About a month ago, I noticed my nails were pale and had some white bands going across the nail bed. Not sure when the change first occured. They kind of expanded over time and now most of my nail beds are pale with hints of the white bands. And I have a darker, normal pink band going across the tip of my nails. I only have lunulas on my thumbnail but I think they've always been that way.
I panic because Terry's nails show cirrhosis, CHF as the two biggest causes. Could it be possible that 2 ultrasounds and an elastography have missed cirrhosis? I am currently talking to doctors and I'm not looking to replace medical advice. I was just wondering if anyone has any personal experiences they want to share. My anxiety is sky high and I'm not really coping well. Thank you
