Hi all, this is my first post, I’ve never been a part of an online support and I’m so glad this is here. I was diagnosed with CP at the first of December 2023. It did not present as pain in my abdomen but in pain in my left side. I thought for a few months prior to it getting painful enough to go to

General Question re positive test lines
If you do a test on test day for fet and it were to say you were pregnant are the lines supposed to continue to get darker? Should you keep testing or just wait and do a hcg blood test? As I'm guessing how strong/diluted your urine is will also have impact on the darkness of the line? At what point would

First Rheumy Visit, Lymphocyte/Neutrophil
Luckily, my rheumatologist was one I saw while in the hospital. She listened, explained, and answered questions. She is treating me for GSA even though my biopsy was negative. I am currently on 40 mg of prednisone. I am still very fatigued, legs are heavy and weak, arms weak, some pain in right temple

got tested
hello, today I got following tests, ast, alt, bilirubin, ggt, leuktocytes, hemoglobin and all were normal now . then I assume that my so-called symptoms are not due to decompensated liver cirrhosis.. or how were your blood tests at diagnosis/symptoms (fatigue, spider nevi)(?) ☀️☀️

Heart failure. Kidney bloods
Ok I have had heart failure, cardiomyopthy, low blood pressure and low blood sugars for three years now after a heart attack... I am aged 60 I have regular 3 monthly blood tests due to heart meds. Each time my kidney function reduces - yet GP has not sent me for a scan or called it Kidney disease.

Heart to Kidney
Ok I have had heart failure for three years now after a MI... Age 60 I have regular 3 monthly blood tests. Each time my kidney function reduces - yet GP has not sent me for a scan or called it Kidney disease. My eGFR was 67, three months later 55 and now below 50, so they are just doing another blood

High dose Pred side effects
Hi I’m afraid I need some advice again please. Having been diagnosed with PMR over 2 years ago, I was down to 4mg Pred although looking back I was in a lot of pain around the neck, shoulders and upper arms. I just put up with it as I wanted to get off meds. Anyway then I became aware of scalp tenderness

CLL, Alcalabrutinib, Low Testosterone
“Hi Thanks everyone who responded to my last post “CLL, Alcalabrutinib, Gout & Steroids” it really does help. Usually i find myself on this site when i’m at my lowest, usually when a new side effect takes hold. My haematologist has never once accepted that what im experiencing is a side effect

Hypocellular bone marrow. Can anyone tell me more?
I was diagnosed with B12 deficiency ("low serum B12") over 15 years ago when debilitating exhaustion was putting my job at risk. Doctors assumed diet related because I was usually vegan at home but still ate meat and fish two or three times a week. I am diary intolerant with eczema (but crave custard

Low Red Blood Cell count and GFR kidney count blamed on PMR. Is this true?
I have just had some blood test results. There are several results which need looking at but someone has added "Normal for this patient". When I have asked before PMR or Pred have been blamed. I took your advice once over breathlessness for example and the GP did further tests. Now the Red Blood

High ANA (antinuclear antibodies)
Hello, I am new in this group, but have been searching for answers for years about chronic fatigue. Over a decade ago, I thought I'd found the answer as I was diagnosed with a B12 deficiency, which is now supplemented with regular injections. For a few years this helped, but the last few years again

Maybe not PMR update 5 years on
Good morning after 5 years next month on steroids with a PMR diagnosis I am headed down a different treatment path. I spoke to a musculoskeletal specialist in UK who questioned if I had ever had PMR due to my original diagnosis blood test showing a CRP result of 6 and an ESR of 1, whilst acknowledging

Asking For Blood Test?
I haven’t had a blood test for over a year so I want to email my doctor to request one. What should I ask for (maybe include iron) ie the correct description of the tests. I have hypothyroidism and undiagnosed PA, I SI EOD and my doctor knows this and has no problems with it. I am in an ongoing positive

Raised liver function on niraparib
Good morning all,This is my first post although I have found the site very helpful during my journey, and thank everyone for sharing their experiences. It's very helpful to know yo are not alone. I have recently started niraparib after surgery and chemo, initially side effects minor, slightly raised
