Hi, my wife gave birth to our 4th child, around months ago. She started having sickness and pain stomach area about 2 monthsagao. GP did a h pylori stool test, which came positive. She took 2 types of antibiotics and some acid related tablets (esomeprazole) for a week. She felt fine while taking the tablets but symptoms returned as soon as she stopped tablets. Blood tests revealed very low in haemoglobin and iron. She was given 2 infusion for blood and one for iron. She then went for endoscopy app. The girl who did the endoscopy was suspicious of malignancy in stomach. She noticed bleeding in stomach as well. My wife was admitted and 2 days later the consultant told her that he is not worried about her having cancer. He stated that by looking at pictures it appears that she is still positive for pylori infection and that it has gone bad. I asked his opinion of her losing 10 kg wt in 2 months. Consultant stated that lost of weight was due to her stomach wall being inflamed and unable to extract goodness of feed. Recent CT scan showed thickening of stomach wall and thrombosis in liver left port vein. She had a 2nd endoscopy done while she was in hospital and was told 99 percent cancer. Biopsy results are not back yet. She will be discussed in MDT meeting tomorrow. I guess we will find out more tomorrow. I am hoping I could find more information and advice here.
