cortisol blood test
I’m due a GP blood test at 8:35am today. Can I have a decaf coffee before??? It’s a waste of time test I think as my saliva test showed the only normal one was the morning but that private test wasn’t good enough! Also my DHEA of less than 10 was completely sidetracked by GP. Very little hope this

INR/FIBRINOGEN
Can someone please tell me if anything else can affect INR or FIBRINOGEN levels, last year my INR was 1 on the ratio and is now 1.1 does this mean the liver is getting worse or can that figure change, it is literally just on the last part of normal now, also my FIBRINOGEN is almost double what it should

PSA 9 , age 66 , is there an alternative to biopsy ?
My friend’s PSA went from 5 to 9 in 8 months . He asked me if there is an alternative to biopsy . I told him that there may be something new since I last had a biopsy in 2009.

Pain below right ribcage
I have had multiple CT scans and MRIs and none of them show cirrhosis, but they show fatty liver. I've had a burning pain below my right rib cage for over a month...it hurts bad! My last liver enzyme tests were within range. I have been on a diet since this started and I've lost 18lbs, but still have

help with the mental health side of vasculitis
hello all, I’ve just been recently diagnosed with suspected vasculitis. Waiting on skin biopsy results to determine which kind. Spent 5 days in hospital due not being able to walk from how swollen my legs and feet were plus covered all over with the typical vasculitis looking rash. Released from hospital

Extremely high BP 6 weeks after ablation
I had ablation 2 months ago for increasing incidence of paroxysmal SVT. I have a very low resting heart rate and low BP history, very stable after Aortic valve replacement 6 years ago. Suddenly 6 weeks post ablation my BP's have been scary high and I've had associated dull headache, neck discomfort

Finger misbehaving (!) ...Ulnar Deviation
Hello, I recently noticed my middle finger has gone bent towards the pinky finger. I couldn't believe my eyes and did internet search. It happens to people with RA and Lupus. A bit shocking. I have been doing mild squeezing exercise daily to help increase my hand strength. I think it may be due to

acute pericarditis
Just had the most horrendous chest pain, to the emergency room, overnight stay. Swift, great workup, no coronary disease, no pulmonary embolism, no Aortic dissection. Pericardial effusion, CRP of 22, turns out I have Pericarditis. Not fun. No vigorous exercise for 3 months/ Colchicine, Naproxyn.

Delayed Lynparza (Olaparib)Reaction
I started Lynparza (Olaparib) on 5/19 (PSA 172). By 7/5 (+7 weeks ) my PSA was 222 and it was decided to discontinue the drug, get a port, and prepare for chemo. At the first chemo appt on 8/10 (+12 weeks), the blood test showed that my PSA had fallen to 194. The general literature says you evaluate

Looking for help with coming off aspirin & on to Xarelto
I've been diagnosed with possible atrial fibrillation. I've been taking a low dose (75mg) aspirin every night for about two weeks, seems to have helped me sleep as my heart doesn't thump. But my GP has prescribed Xarelto which I will start taking. However I read that aspirin can stay in your blood

Are you ready to kick neurotoxins to the curb?
You can start by not eating them and clean up your diet. The next step is to remove neurotoxins from your personal care and cleaning products. Edit: Would you be more motivated to change your lifestyle if you understood how Roundup is used and why it's poison? Roundup kills any actively growing plant

Overactive Bladder Syndrome
Bit strange to post this here but bear with me please. It seems that many of the med's for OAB have a side effect of high heart rate. I've been diagnosed with Paroxysmal Tachycardia and am trying Tolterodine for my OAB (which increased my comfort level considerably) but have had to stop as my monthly

3rd Rheumy says I no longer have PMR but Rheumatoid Arthritis from X-rays and blood tests and prescribed Leflunomide
does this stuff work? The side effects for liver damage potential looks scary to me, someone that once was misdiagnosed with liver cancer and sent to Cleveland for transplant. Yes, fatty liver at age 59. Don’t drink or smoke. Pre diabetic/diabetic Also, does PMR segway into rheumatoid arthritis?

have had ibs for years now and get pain everyday then the anxiety kicks in and gives me chest pain. Had every scan known to man only to be told it’s just ibs, tried every medication and nothing works because the anxiety takes over anti anxiety medication and cbt does nothing to ease the pain.Doctor basically
