Ferritin blood test?
Haemoglobin
was 135g/L, and MCV 79fL (78-98fL). I was put on ferrous fumerate tablets 210mg twice a day for 3 months. I had a blood test around a month after starting them in late September which showed my levels had risen to 22µg/L ( with
haemoglobin
143g/L, MCV 80fL).

B12 Problem - Oral Contraceptive Pill - Does this sound correct
He said that my blood cells looked very good with
haemoglobin
around 150 and all related tests absolutely fine (no anaemia ever).

Symptoms and the trait
-There are variants of trait called
haemoglobin
S Antilles and
haemoglobin
S Oman. These show up on screening tests as sickle cell trait, but can produce symptoms similar to sickle cell disease under normal oxygen conditions.

BARRETT'S OESOPHAGUS -- how is the likelihood of it becoming malignant monitored?
The AF pattern changes when tissue becomes neoplastic due to altered metabolic activity and
haemoglobin
content together with a breakdown of collagen fibre cross-links. This results in a shift towards the red spectrum when such tissue is excited with blue light.

Pooling T3?
I understand that this can be affected by iron levels, which were tested in June and here are the results: TIBC 52 (45 - 81), Transferrin % saturation 33 (15 - 45), Serum iron 17 (6.6 - 30.4), Serum Transferrin 2.3 (2 - 3.6), Serum Ferritin 63 (not 67 as said earlier),
Haemoglobin
12.3 (low 12.5

Second treatment looming
Strangely my blood remains fairly stable at Red Cell 3.76
Haemoglobin
13.3 white cell 6.6 Neutrophils 1.22 Lymphocytes 5,28 and platelets which have always been low at 70. Where do we go from here.
