If the dr doesn’t see fatty liver on scan then is it still fatty liver?
I’ve been through a decent amount of tests endoscopy ct scan and many ultrasound scans and a hida scan nothing has shown anything abnormal with my liver. But when I take any type of meds which I’m on Prozac it goes up. When off meds my enzymes are ok. They stay in the mild elevated range. Cholesterol

Liver pain AFTER giving up alcohol
Hi all - wonder if someone could advise please? I gave up alcohol at Christmas after years of binge drinking. Strange thing is I now have upper right quadrant liver pain (dull ache) that wasn't there before. Sometimes but not always it radiates to my back. It's worse when I bend forward or reach up.

Liver is stable
Hi friends...just did all of my 6 month test and my liver is stable at this time. Stable meansing cirrhosis compensated, HCV treatment still 100% successful!!! But my blood is showing some concern, per GI doctor...and myself! My globulin in my blood is high and the doc says it's not liver related!!!

Hepatic Encephalopathy with F1 Fibrosis?
Hi, is it possible to experience Hepatic Encephalopathy with F1 Fibrosis? Here's my backstory.. I'm ashamed to admit I was a daily drinker for approx 20 years (I'm now in my mid forties) as I used it to self-medicate to help with anxiety (terrible idea I know). I must have been averaging around 80 units

Cystic Fibrosis - Functional Bile Duct Cells Generated From Stem Cells
A condition that is rarely mentioned here is Cystic Fibrosis. This may be due to fact that Cystic Fibrosis is considered to be a lung condition, but CF can cause the blockage of small ducts in the liver leading to CF-related liver disease. Liver disease in people with CF can be related to problems with

Lactulose
Lactulose problems. I was wondering if anyone else was having problems with lactulose. I am never out of the toilet and it seems to be creating extreme insomnia. I feel permanently exhausted. Is there any other medication u can try?

Five years diagnosed
January 2022, will be five years that my liver enzymes elevated. January 2017 was a trying time for me. I started college September 2020. I was very surprised to pass my math class with an A. Pre-algebra that ended with algebra. May I ask how my 5 year aih/pbc friends are doing health wise? I’m working

Bleeding in eye
I have a popped blood vessel in my eye. I did not do anything to cause it. Can that mean I have a low platelet count? Had anyone for this due to liver disease?

Assessment at the Royal Free, etc
At the start of this week my partner had his transplant assessment at the Royal Free. It was a really positive experience. Because we came from Bristol we stayed in the on-site hotel, which is great! There was a lot of waiting for tests and for the medics to be available. I couldn't stay on the unit

Covid -19, still a big risk for some - 2.
I posted this tread up some three months ago just as a warning to others who like me are immunosuppressed. At this time, there are estimated to be around 44% of organ transplanted people who still didn't produce any Covid antibodies. Some of you will remember Jenny who use to frequent this forum, Jenny
