Hi , so I have been drinking heavily for about 20 years, I've had bloods taken but nothing serious showed up but I knew there was something wrong as my stomach is swollen and my liver feels strange, bigger so I contacted my GP and I'm being seen tomorrow, she thinks it's an enlarged liver. Any idea what to expect,I'm really worried.

Well done for taking the step to see the GP. It may be a good idea to discuss an ultrasound scan with the GP which will provide more information.

Hi , the Dr took lots of bloods and has referred me for a scan, she said I have fluid in my stomach so has given me medication for that , most of bloods came back okay but she wants me to do some fasting bloods , not sure what that means? But I'll keep you updated , thanks for asking ☺️
