Hello everyone I’ve been enjoying the posts on What’s in a Title and thank you to all involved. On a more mundane matter, I had a telephone consultation with I’m pleased to say, Dr Murray’s gastrointestinal/Scleroderma clinic over a week ago. It was with Kristina Clarke who I’ve met before and when

Is my Endo back?
Hi Everyone, Looking for some advice or anyone who's been through a similar experience. I had Endo 3 years ago some of my main symptoms where bowel issues bloating, gassy, stomach cramps and diarrhea whenever I ate to much. Initially the doctor put it down to IBS. Simethicone
Been having problems due to Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. Whilst it’s improved a little bit in the last few days I’m finding that trapped gas first thing when waking is an issue. I was looking at Simethicone and whether that or Deflatine would help me. I’ve got afib and on regular medication (flec and bisoprolol

High dose Turmeric and links to low ferritin
My ferritin has dropped from 82ug/L (30-150) 4 months ago to 64ug/L (30-264) this week (both Medichecks- Inuvi lab). From a Carer’s Perspective
hello to all in the oesophageal cancer community. not necessarily a community that anyone would particularly choose to be in but also comforting to know others are in the same situation. my husband was diagnosed with stage 2 OG in September 2023. he has had four chemo sessions and is due to have surgery

3 months ago I was informed of a new suspicious nodule in my left lung. Since then I have lived a mental nightmare knowing that its growth on the next scan would mean another cancer or more likely and worst, the distant recurrence of my first lung cancer (resected with my right lower lobe in April

Thin, fragile skin
I thought it might be helpful to post this for those of us with very thin, easily damaged skin. It’s one of the many hazards of long-term, high dose steroid use, including inhalers. Of course, if it weren’t for steroids I wouldn’t be here, so I’m glad they’re available. After decades of steroid use

Almost ready for phase 1: JHU083 (or JHU-083) a selective glutamine metabolism blocker
"The drug, JHU083, is a type of molecule called a prodrug that cells inside the body convert into an active drug. Specifically, JHU083 can only be turned into its active, glutamine-blocking form inside the tumor, preventing it from causing harmful side effects elsewhere in the body. " We all know that
