Quick catch up to give a boost if you're struggling right now starting your journey 😘 Basics Stage4b hgsc hrd+ brca negative with lymph nodes next to my heart and pelvis, started carbo/taxol June 2021 had 4 rounds then paid private for operation then 2 rounds. Finished 22 infusions of avastin in April this year and I have 8 months left on lynparza 😅😅😅 it's been a fight! But disease is stable NED and just had a 2 week break from meds and had a 10 day holiday cruise around the Greek Islands 🥳🥳🥳 off meds felt amazing after 2 days I had so much more energy, I even walked up a Volcano in santorini!! I'm back on meds now and it's hit me straight but I can see that in the future It'll be worth it and I will get back to my new normal 🤪🤣🥰 Keep fighting ladies and never give up! We can't see into the future but we can live for Today!! X pic is of me in the sea in Turkey, we hired a private cabana 🩵x

I loved reading your post. I am in a similar position and waiting for my latest scan results. I am happy to hear that you felt so much better off the medication. I'm hoping to get a short break and do exactly what you did. You are a great inspiration.

It made a huge difference in just 2 days! Sinuses cleared, joint pains got much better, weak and tired feeling left, things tasted better. Just great to know that we will feel better in the end xxx

Amazing! Thank you for your post. Keep up a great work! You are a fighter! May it continue to be stable forever!🙏🤞Can I ask you please if you were NED after your main treatment (surgery and chemos) and before going on avastin and lynparza?

Yes, the scan did show a 3mm lymph node but the oncologist still classed it as NED xx

A lovely share Newberry2. Your journey is similar to mine but a bit further forward.

I stopped the olaparib due to a neutropenia. Although upset at the time to miss a week it gave me so much more energy which coincided with my husband’s fundraising (Ovacome) Hadrian’s Wall Walk. I managed to walk 30 miles of it over 5 days including fitting in bloods, dentist and infusion- silver lining! This reminded me yet again that by looking for the positive in the disruptions can bring unexpected benefits.

Enjoy the rest of your Greek exploration . F x😃
