Weight loss on intermittent fasting even better than my last post 3 years ago!

Hi all, I got some private tests done (attached) and I have to say I’m surprised as they seem to point to me being hyperthyroid but have all the symptoms of hypo. Can someone explain to me please? Other tests done recently were: B12 - 240 - I have pernicious anaemia and am getting B12 injections off

Oesophagectomy, further surgery
A few months ago I posted about the difficulties I was having post oesophagectomy surgery last November and the discomfort I felt every day as I ate anything. Just an update, it was discovered that there is a kink further down the digestive system between the duodenum and jujunem and that's slowing everything

Blood results
Hi all, Following on from the very useful help and advice I received on my previous posts, I have some blood results back and am hoping for some advice this time. My B12 came back in the normal range but low and my ferritin came back only just scraping into the normal range (results attached).

What is the difference between pre-TT Graves' and post-TT Graves?
Hi all, thank you again for all the helpful comments on my last post. I'm really glad to be a part of this community - I only wish I'd known about it a little over 5 years ago, but perhaps that's a post for another day. I wanted to ask if anyone had any insight on what happens to the body when one's

Surprising TRT research results in PCa patients
I’ve been researching the implications of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) as it relates to the odds of biochemical recurrence with prostate cancer. I went down this path because my prostatectomy surgeon, who is very well respected in the field (200+ papers) and has performed over 5000 surgeries

AST to ALT ratio has become greater than 1 after decades of elevated levels
My ALT and AST have been elevated for decades. For second time in a row now, my AST has becomevhigher than ALT ; they are currently in 60ish range. A very nice article i read on the DiRitiis ratio from around 2013 says my new current ratio of 1.1 suggests fibrosis and ir bad prognosis to cirrhosis

Cirrhosis and very scared - please help!
Hi. I'm so glad I stumbled on this site and I'm hoping that someone could be kind enough to reach out to me? I'm so very, very scared, and it's all my own fault. I have suffered from an anxiety disorder for 15 - 20 years and used wine to cope....and lots of it. I was diagnosed with compensated cirrhosis

RB-190 - A drug repurposed - for Parkinsons
There is hope! A drug repurposed for Parkinsons may become a game changer. Dr. Jonathan Sackner-Bernstein is working on a clinical trial (stage 2) for a repurposed drug for Parkinsons patients. He says, and all Parkinson's neurologists know that Parkinsons patients have little dopamine in their brains

PSA Rising and Falling during Chemo
I have been receiving chemotherapy since November 2023. Started with Docetaxel until it failed after 7 cycles. Switched to Cabazitaxel and currently on the 5th cycle. Since starting the Cabazitaxil my PSA has been raising and lowering. I am currently having some scans done to confirm if there is progression

Visual issues; feedback on meetings with the RNIB. 1 good and 2 bad.
Contacted the RNIB and arranged two phone meetings, one with an optometrist and the other with a sight technology expert. Lets start with the bad, visual conditions. The RNIB have no expertise with visual issues after a brain injury. The page on their site about visual issues after stroke is just for

New fatty liver diagnosis
Hi All, today I had a fibro scan which revealed that my liver has no scarring with a score of 3.9kpa which was good news, however, the cap score was 307 which was worrying. I gave up alcohol 6 months ago following an attack of acute pancreatitis and being hospitalised for 4 days, this event was enough
