Acetylcysteine
I have recently been prescribed oral acetylcysteine as a mucolytic. Does anyone have any experience with this? I am unsure how having a greater volume of mucus to cough up will help me, and the drug information leaflet says it should not be used with bronchial asthma as it can cause bronchospasms

Prostate cancer but normal PSA?
HI All. I had my first ever PSA at the age of 62 and it came in at over 26. I took a repeat and it came in at 25, then a week later I took another and it was 29. I had a biopsy that came back positive (cancer in 11 of 12 samples) and even though both my CT and bone. However, they indicated that since

Low BP in afib and covid
After all the years I have finally caught COVID. Had a headache for a couple of days which has gone now. Not much coughing, just feel a bit achy and weak.Unfortunately, it's sent me into an afib episode although my heart rate is staying below 100bpm in fact it's hovering around 70 to 80bpm. I was concerned

Healthy and high LPA
Hello 55 female, post meno, non smoker, low BMI and no other health issues but recent Afib issues (last year).I also have a small benign tumour and some white matter around it that has increased slightly, which MRI indicates is indicative of chronic microvascular disease. I am waiting for an ablation

Medications for Parkinson's
I have seen two neurologists. The first one diagnosed me with PD about 8 months ago. As my only motor symptom is weakness in my dominant hand and some rigidity, she did not recommend medication, only exercise as it is thought to be neuroprotective. She said the medications lose effectiveness over time

My story of my 23 year battle with Pca.
I have decided to share this with the group because yesterday a guy shared his fear. In no way should you take any of this as a suggestion for treatment or refusal of treatment. I was diagnosed with Pca Gleason 3+3 July 13 2000 ar the age of 49. When the Dr. gave me the results I started sweating profusely

Florinef Dosage
For those that require adrenal hormone replacement such as Hydrocortisone, Florinef and DHEA (I know most Endocrinologist do not even mention DHEA to their patients and say it unnecessary, as one does not need it to 'live', even though it is the most most abundant hormone in the human body, and studies

Super Confused
In January 2011 I was told I was AMA+ and I had PBC. In December 2011 I had a lap band removed and while they we in there I requested a liver biopsy. The results showed I had PBC. I refused any medication for PBC because I was not taking medicine that "may" help slow dow the progression of PBC. Last

Nees help
i’m a 43-year-old guy who’s been diagnosed with Parkinson’s for five years. The meds for Parkinson sort of help. I’ve tried lots and lots of things, but the thing that made me feel the very best was B12. I think I have pernicious, anemia and Parkinson’s. I also have a very low B2 levels. If I don’t

Lab work
Got my labs yesterday and. Was happy to see how well they were. ALB is still low but coming up. Kt/v was 2.41 not sure how they do that on hemo but I’ll take it. Potassium and phosphorus are in range as is hemoglobin. My PTH was low so I need to stop the calciteol. Since my BP at dialysis on Thursday
