Dad's Post Heart Bypass Recovery Update & Advice Please :D
Hi All, I posted last week regarding my Dad's post surgery experience (Titled: Dad's 5 Days Post Triple Heart Bypass Surgery). All's going well on the recovery front - Dad was in ICU for 5 days, as they waited for his Oxygen Levels to stabilise accordingly, then 3 days up on the general ward, before

why am I still sometimes light headed and unsure when walking (so far between 50 and 300 yards most days)
Seven weeks post op (new mitral, new aortic, mended tricuspid and cabg -lad) I'm still feeling jelly legs. How can I make more progress? Reasurance please friends! I will get better won't I?? I quiteunderstand and support the cardio nurse moving elsewhere but a phone call can only do so much

Seems to be lots of posts asking if such and such makes you Vulnerable. Personally I have had a Heart Attack, Bypass Surgery, Further Stents and I have Moderate/Severe Heart Failure, and a 100% Blocked Right Coronary Artery, Currently having an Assessment for a CRT Pacemaker. Now I wonder if I fall

Recent A&E visit with heart palpitations
Monday of last week called 999 after a weekend of feeling unwell with pounding heart beat of up to 150 beats. Was told in A&E that it was atrial fibrillation and to increase bisoprolol and I would be called back later. Letter receive today telling me to see my GP if it reoccurs as I have a history of

It breaks my heart
My parents are in their 70's and we've all discussed me going to stop with them for a period of time. They both have underlying health issues. My Dad is diabetic and has a pacemaker and my mum has had heart bypass surgery. Having an MPN I also have lower white cells, but am in very good health. I'm so

Corona virus after bypass surgery
Has this been discussed yet? I’m approaching 72. Had a triple bypass in July last year. Also have under active thyroid. Am I in a high risk category?

Message For Boris
Hi Boris Just to let you know You will never forget the Names of the Nurses who cared for you. I am almost 5 years post CABG and I can still picture Kerri Ann a young Australian CC Nurse who looked after me when I was rather poorly after the operation. Every time I came round Kerri Ann was there taking

Hi - I am 68 - not overweight - (12stone - 5’ 8”) so not exactly lean and mean either! 😊 I had a double bypass using mammary gland and lower leg vein 11 months ago. Recovered really well - still a bit numb in left chest and lower leg areas but I have driven to and all over Spain 4 months after the op

I do not undestand that..
In December I took an angiogram. Now I'm waiting for a bypass surgery. A universal credit worker, evaluated it so that I can work and canceled the work's fitness. I am waiting for an operation for a given date, my GP doctor writing confirmed that I can not go to work. , but a Universal credit worker

Dad's 5 Days Post Triple Heart Bypass Surgery - Advice Please :)
Hello All! Just a quick thank you to those who have posted on this site, regarding their op experiences etc - It has been a great way to educate ourselves, as opposed to using "Dr Google".... 🤣 My Dad, who's 67 years old, had a check up a couple weeks ago at the hospital, due to Angina, where it was

Looking for advice
Hi. New to this forum. I had a heart attack and CABG x3 last October. I've since completed a cardiac rehabilitation course. Is the Couch to 5k programme suitable for me? Any advice greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Advice re referral process for Heart Bypass
Hi, I have just finished all my tests and waiting for the final report, written, from my consultant. All I know is straight after my anagram he told me I needed a heart bypass as LHS all arteries blocked and three stents needed on RHS. Can anyone tell me what the process is likely to be from now? This
