Gastrectomy and bile reflux
Hi My wife had a
Gastrectomy
in may and everything has gone better than expected. She suffers from Fibromyalgia as well and now is on new tablets for that. Since about 4 weeks after discontinuing some antidepressants ,which helped her sleep, she has not been sleeping at all or very little.

Flap surgery
Hi there I had a chemo, mastectomy, radiation and now reconstruction on Tuesday. I decided to get the flap surgery instead of implant. Since I had radiation and skin isn’t same plus you will have to get another surgery in 5 years. Has anyone ever had the flap surgery where they use belly fat instead

New Here - Hello!
Hi I am new here and this is my first post. I was diagnosed in 2008 with Type IIB, had double mastectomy, then two years later a full hysterectomy (BRCA gene). Then really was NED for 10 years. After reaching the 10 year milestone, I had a reoccurrence in my lungs and I am stage IV. Started on Faslodex

Nagging ache
Had a mastectomy Oct 15, and it doesn’t feel right, if I lift or stretch, I get this horrible nagging feeling, in the back by shoulder blades, and sometimes it catches my breath and makes me cough, any ideas on what to do to ease this would be good.x

Finally an improvement.
It is now over 8 years since I had a total
Gastrectomy
and finally I'm enjoying my food with no ill effects. Gone is the dumping syndrome, reflux etc. Now I'm concentrating on regaining lost weight. My early morning breakfast consists of a half can of baked beans washed down with a cup of coffee.

My story & place for others to share experiences!
Hi: Stage 1 in 2010-double mastectomy & failed to tolerate Tamoxifen (as I was going through menopause); but low oncotype score so took a chance. Diagnosed with Mets to Lymph and Lungs 11/2017. Currently on my 16th cycle Ibrance/letraziole; ct Scans every 3 mos. All have shown much improvement & now

Newly Diagnosed Breast Cancer
I'm new to this website. I'm very scared right now after learning I have DCIS in situ. My MRI has shown a little more breast cancer involvement, so the specialist says treatment must be a mastectomy, not a lumpectomy as originally thought. Although I feel if I must trade a breast for my life, it's

Liver mets
Fall of '14 was diagnosed at age 37 w/ stage 2 bc. Bilat mastectomy, 4 rounds of chemo then put on Tamoxifen. No scans recommended, just PE's & bldwork. Fall of '17 had sensitivity on my left upper sternum. Dr wrote it off as cartilage soreness. Finally in Feb '18 a lump appeared in that area. Rad, bone
