LT and cyberknife
My PSA went down to .5 from 6.0 after cyberknife. Six months later it is back to 1.0 should I be worried?

Prostatitis advice
My partner (in his mid 60s) had prostate biopsies (over 60 samples) done in summer 2023. He needed a catheter for many weeks afterwards and was in a lot of pain and passing many blood clots. Over the last year since the biopsies he's had recurrent bouts of slow and intermittent urine flow, now having

Anybody with bradycardia (low heart rate)
Shortly after multiple pulmonary emboli in April, 2022, lead to my long-term NSAID usage being stopped, tests lead to diagnosis of PMF with CALR, type 1, mutation. Along with other unpleasant health effects from that time, I have had bradycardia (binodal) very often (almost daily) with rates below 40

Always thinking the worse
When I am under a lot of stress that I don't necessarily recognize, the tiniest thing brings in health anxiety.I am a walker 4 plus miles a day. It helps with my anxiety. So yesterday my finger started twitching off and on. I started thinking the worse. Neurological condition, Parkinson, ALS, you name

Advice for my husband, looking at treatment options
My husband's history - I don't have all the PSA numbers currently. He is 63 yrs now, under care of a urologist in a multidisciplinary group. No comorbidities other than well controlled hypertension. Nov 2021 Diagnosed via MRI, biopsy. At that time Grade 2 Gleason 3+4 on 1 core, numerous Grade 1

Expericence with Xtandi
I had very good results for over a year with no side effects. It was part of a clinical study. My PSA is rising so time to move on to another drug. Good luck to you!

What’s the pros and cons of Casodex and Lupron as the only treatment for Gleason 4+5 (9).
I was diagnosed with PC, March 2022. Gleason 4+5 (9). Urologist wanted to do a radical prostatectomy. I chose to change my diet, exercise and lifestyle to a plant-based detox from chemicals in my food and in my house. My PSA went from 13.7 to 100 in one year. It metastasized to my pelvic area and seminal

UserName Change Search Link
I just changed my username name from the impersonal "JHMX" to "JohnInTheMiddle". Among other things I liked the TV show Malcolm in the Middle. And when I signed up it was in that kind of crazy time of DX that many people here will recognize. But as I become familiar with the stories and exploration here

Apology Re: Bring PSA from 6.7 to 3.1 in 4 weeks by pure water fast (3wks) and vegan diet (1 wk).
Dear colleagues, I wish to apologise for using the "cure" in the title of the post I made here about a week ago. For reference the title of the post has now been changed to "Bring PSA from 6.7 to 3.1 in 4 weeks by pure water fast (3wks) and vegan diet (1 wk)." I now realise that I made a big mistake

Imaging Guidelines - Salvage IMRT Planning
I'm planning to start my post-op salvage treatment after my PSA breached 0.1 few weeks ago. I'm OK with the extent of the treatment proposed, which is 5 weeks of IMRT (VMAT) to the prostatic fossa and pelvic LNs. However, I'm not confident with the accuracy of radiation delivery to the target area. Knowing

Modified Citrus Pectin
New study below [1]. Earlier (2021) results [2] - full text. The study was on men with non-metastatic biochemically relapsed PCa. There was no placebo arm. Dr. Isaac Eliaz created PectaSol - Modified Citrus Pectin [P-MCP] thirty years ago. There are 110 PubMed references to it - Eliaz claims

A good day today
Wanted to share some good news, having asked for help and advice so much over the last 5 years. Dad had initial PSA of 17 and it was believed localised (2c) and received surgery in June 2018. Failed with a low score of 0.08, upgrade to 3a and subsequently received radiation in January 2019. 37 sessions

Same medicine, different brand?
Good evening. I take a calcium channel blocker called Vera-Til SR 120mg, also known as Verapamil however, this particular brand is currently out of stock and I have been given an alternative which is Half Securon SR. My GP has advised that I always stick to one brand (Vera-Til SR) and the pharmacist
