AMG 509 (Xaluritamig): update on this immunotherapy for mCRPC
They published the first findings on Cancer Discovery. "Efficacy as measured both by PSA and objective response by RECIST were encouraging in this heavily pretreated mCRPC population, and responses occurred with greater frequency in the higher-dose cohorts. PSA declines were seen starting with 0.1 mg

Information in Bio Hoping to try a PARP inhibitor or Provenge perhaps, I don’t know much about this, but my medical oncologist keeps mentioning pluvicto, I’m not interested in doing that yet. Information from Bio below: Diagnosed 07/01/2022 Diagnosed By PSA Score 942.40 06/24-2022-07/06/2022

High-Dose Vitamin B1 / Thiamine and Fat Soluble Benfotiamine Form
I am reposting a reply to the Vitamin B1 thread as I noticed a search on HealthUnlocked for Benfotiamine doesn't list the thread for Vitamin B1 and the information I posted doesn't fit in one reply. I'm not giving medical advice but I know a lot of people here are open to trying things and watch if

Which Treatment for These Biopsy Results?
I now have my biopsy results Gleason 3 + 4 ie 90% of 3 and 10% of 4 Grade 2 The consultant said it was Intermediate but at one point used the term Low intermediate. Is this latter term valid given the stats? T2a NO MO - but I am puzzled about this because although it was mostly all on the left side

SRBT and EXTEND trial
Does anybody have the full text of EXTEND trial results from June 2023? (my payment attempt is rejected and the tips on how to get a study without cost doesn´t work) https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37022702/ Addition of Metastasis-Directed Therapy to Intermittent Hormone Therapy for Oligometastatic

PSA testing - time taken to separate serum
Dear AllJust wondering if there are members who can advise on if there are defined standards on how long can PSA blood samples remain within whole blood samples before they reach the end of their shelf life? I will explain that the NHS in UK have set a standard of a max time of 16 hours between the sample

What is the next step
I have one more Immunotherapy for my bladder cancer, so far all scan have shown no metastasis. Now I need to focus on my PC after more than a year of ignoring it. My PSA has been fluctuating and is now 0.65, doubling time is 16 months, I have not had ADT yet and my MO wants to just wait and watch. What

CDK 12 mutation and Immunotherapy
Hi All, My PSA as is starting to rise on Arbi/Dexa. I have the CDK12 mutation which is apparently known to be a drug target or to predict sensitivity to Atezolizumab (Tecentriq PD-1 Checkpoint Inhibitor), hence there is open Immunotherapy trial called BoB (NCT03767075). I meet the trial doctor next

Erectile dysfunction
Hi My first post, I think it is pretty obvious that many of us, me included, associate our self worth, status with our 'masculinity'. This may or may not be a good thing, but many, most men in fact consider themselves to be profoundly binary. They represent the '1' to a feminine '0'. When a man fails

Letting Go
If it is one thing that I have after almost 18 years of playing this game, it is a story or perhaps many stories. So Many chapters. What I am about to say may seem easy from the perspective of undetectable PSA and clear scans these past 10 years. I assure you that at the time there was nothing easy about

Concern - At 4 mo on Lupron/Abi, Testosterone hits 40
While PSA was again <.1 yesterday, testosterone jumped to 40 ng/dl or 1.4 nmole/L, which is a big move toward the 1.7 danger zone for faster movement toward CRPC ( https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5472467/ ) , and I am interested

Myoglobin
I think i over done my muscles on left side from the waist down, did far too much walking and walking on uneven surfaces and diving in sand dunes while on uk holiday. I came home and 4 days later it looked like my urine had turned into ribena, doctors diagnoised myoglobin and said its caused from damaged

waiting for the result of a 24 urine test as possible hypercalcaemia
I am waiting for the result of a 24 hour urine test. I have previously had above the normal range calcium tests. This has been going on for about a year. I’m guessing that the culprit is lithium but I’m wondering whether steroids can cause this ?

RT results look good
After a bout of sepsis from a directed biopsy, 5 weeks of RT and 3 months of Eligard, my tests show undetectable PSA. I'm still dealing with side effects (interrupted sleep, urinary and bowel differences) but happy to report it looks like, for the time being, that my stage 2/3 PC may have been beaten

PSA 6 months after RT
Here is a review of a presentationby Dr. Ravi at ASCO 2023, regarding measuring the PSA at 6 months post radiation treatment, for all risk groups. He found that the 6-month post-RT PSA was highly prognostic of 5- and 10-year rates of metastasis free survival (MFS), Overall Survival (OS), and prostate
