Low PTH
Has anyone had low PTH levels? My last three months levels have been low and just now stopped Calcitrol on neph recommendation. My phosphorus and calcium are both within range so I'm not sure what's causing it. I see my primary doc on Mon and I'll ask her but was curious as to anyone else having this

Alendronic Acid
When I saw a new rhuemy yesterday she mentioned Alendronic Acid. I had not heard of it. I take Calcium D3 because a DXA scan showed osteopenia in my lower back. Would Alendronic Acid be helpful with Calcium D3 or instead of it?

Oh dear! it's that 'senior moment' time again
Oooops. Yesterday I posted asking if anyone had issues with long term use of Lisinopril, but what I really wanted was feedback on long term usage of Lansoprozole! (Take your pick: brain fog, senility etc.) I was prescribed Lansoprozole to minimise the risk of stomach damage from Clopidogrel, following

One year ago, my spasticity was so severe I took too many Baclofen tablets at the same time, that I almost died! Now I take 1 Tizanidine at bedtime. I also have a small notebook I keep next to all the muscle-relaxing pills and log in what I take to make sure I never overdose on muscle relaxing drugs

Adcal-D3
Just a quick query. Has anyone else suffered from nausea when taking Adcal-D3 chewable? I was wondering if the tablets contain lactose, as I'm allergic to it. Since having been diagnosed with a fractured L2 and osteoporosis, the RA team and my GP both recommend them. I was taking Solgar Calcium Citrate

calcium supplement
I would like to know, if it’s beneficial to take calcium 1200 mg with 1000u D3 for someone who is on trelstar, xtandi and completed radiation. Dexa scan shows osteoarthritis. Stage 4 also with pacemaker. I am asking specifically about calcium, I am aware of D3 studies .

calcium scoring
Anyone know the meaning of calcium scores? I had a CT angiogram scan yesterday and was told that my calcium score is 0. I haven’t had the official report and the only reason I was told is because they did the scan in 2 parts as my heart rate was higher than required for the scan. I did ask if that

My Mom needs heart surgery & I'm a terrified, 47 yr old baby
I feel so selfish. My MOM is the one who needs her aortic valve replaced, not me. But here I am, terrified of the upcoming surgery. Terrified of how terrified I'll be. Why can't I reframe my thinking? Why can't I look at this as this will save her?! Quick background: I'm 47, female, never married, no

My response to WinnieThePoo.

But unlikely to offer a viable solution to share. Meanwhile, those less blinkered [blinded by tunnel vision] research solutions

Multi vitamins minus calcium and vitamin D
Saw Rheumy nurse yesterday. Still waiting to start Etanercept jab. But she said I should get multivitamins but minus vitamin D and Calcium as I'm already on calcichew D3 twice a day. Looked on line but cannot find any without these. Has anyone multi vitamins without calcium and vitamin D3?
