One year ago, my spasticity was so severe I took too many Baclofen tablets at the same time, that I almost died! Now I take 1 Tizanidine at bedtime. I also have a small notebook I keep next to all the muscle-relaxing pills and log in what I take to make sure I never overdose on muscle relaxing drugs again! (Your heart is the biggest muscle in your body; be careful!)

My muscle-relaxing drug regime:

Baclofen-20 Mg Tablets: 1x @ breakfast, noon, dinner, bedtime, one more in between the times listed

Valium (Diazepam) 2 Mg Tablets: PRN (no more than two within 24 hours

Gabapentin 100 Mg Tablets: 1x @ breakfast, noon, dinner, and bedtime

Tizanidine (Zanaflex) 4 Mg Tablets: 1x @ bedtime (up to 3x extra a day; never take an extra pill within 15 minutes of taking any muscle relaxing pill).

By logging my extra muscle relaxing pills (I maintain a 7-day drug container that contains all my regular doses of muscle relaxing pills ), I ensure never to take too many pills.

I strongly suggest finding a physical therapist who specializes in MS Spasticity Stretches! Practice these stretches daily!

Warmly, David from West Michigan!

So glad you figured out a way to not take too many meds at once. I use a 7 day pill box so I can put all my daily pills in it so I wouldn't have to pick out what pills to take at what ever time of day. The morning pills, I take when I wake up. The the pills that I take throughout the day, I have a free app on my phone that reminds to me to take them. The app I use is called: Pill Reminder for my andoid phone. I have an alarm on my phone for the evening set of meds. The free app only allows 6 alarms.

Thank God David you're better and have a excellent regimen that's working well. Pill organizers are good tools when you take several medications as many of us do! Peace and Blessings. NeeC

Just 1 baclofen (even 1/2!) gets my legs so wobbly that I can’t even walk with a walker/rollator. I am always spasming and in a lot of sore tight muscle pain all the time but it’s worth it to me to be able to walk. Stretching works to make it tolerable, but stretching is painful so i muster that about 3x per week. I don’t know how i would handle all those meds! I always say to myself that if i end up in a wheelchair then id take the baclofen again and hopefully out of pain
