bile ducts
I had a blood test few weeks back result was Alp 177and Alt 50. GP repeated them and they came back Alt 30, Alp 139 BUT GGT 105 which wasn’t tested previously. I paid to have an ultrasound scan which showed intrahepatic bile duct dilation of 3.6mm. Everything else was ok in terms of liver gall bladder

Biopsies and confusion
Here is my wifes Biopsys from Nov of 2020 STEATOHEPATITIS (SEE COMMENT), 'There are 9 portal tracts represented. A trichrome stain shows extensive pericellular fibrosis and bridging fibrosis. A PAS with diastase is negative for alpha-1-antitiypsin inclusions. A reticulin stain shows a maintained architecture

Recovery after cholecystectomy
I had my gallbladder removed (keyhole surgery) a month ago. All went well but pain has been worse over the last week or so. I do suffer from chronic constipation which doesn't help, but operation sites, particularly navel, still very painful. Is this normal?

INR/FIBRINOGEN
Can someone please tell me if anything else can affect INR or FIBRINOGEN levels, last year my INR was 1 on the ratio and is now 1.1 does this mean the liver is getting worse or can that figure change, it is literally just on the last part of normal now, also my FIBRINOGEN is almost double what it should

Advice
Hi Not been here for a while as I have been investigating possible Hyperparathyroidism - still ongoing, it's a long road! Also had to deal with a gallbladder removal too...but now resolved 🤞 I'm having private bloods to check for raised Calcium (for HPT), which also test my thyroid. As both problems

Gallbladder removal with low platelets
I am in remission with CLL and now after a visit to A&E because of agonising pain they discovered Gallstones and want to remove my Gallbladder asap. My last blood test shows Platelet count - 130 10*9/L ......also low Haematocrit and Red blood cells. Does anybody know if this would be a problem

Confused about CP diagnose
i had acute pancreatitis in 2018 as a 34 year old male. I recovered in 2 months at home with minimal hospital stay. Since then had multiple episodes but lipase was never elevated to the extent of it being diagnosed as AP. Recently got the symptoms again and doctor found out low fecal elastase and did

Steroid injection and surgery
Hi all , I'm just wondering if anyone knows how long you have to wait after steroid injection in the bottom before having gallbladder removal I've been told operation will be in 2 to 3 mths unless a cancellation comes in. But a friend said I'll have to wait 3mths now

Sorry another q. omeprazole and sulfasalazine
Hi all. Sorry for another question but the more I learn and am diagnosed with the more questions I have. I'm on omeprazole as well as many other meds. When I started sulfasalazine I asked a pharmacist what I could and could not take as the same time and one thing he said was omeprazole should be taken

Hi all, hope you are keeping as well as is possible. so after ph test ( unpleasant) and established I had 2 gallstones after ultrasound I thought I had it cracked ! So opted for a gallbladder removal but tbh I was told that I could still have symptoms of acid reflux. Wondering if anyone has had

gallbladder removal
Hello, I had my gallbladder removed a week ago today (keyhole). Recovery from surgery has been an absolute breeze, other than I slept for 4 days solid; despite telling pre op nurse, anaesthetist, recovery and ward nurse that I have PA and B12 deficiency and reacted very badly to an anaesthetic 10 years

Newly diagnosed
Hey y'all. I was recently diagnosed with pancreatitis, I had an acute attack and was hospitalized for 11 days. I've never had issues before now that I knew of, but upon doing a CAT scan they discovered a 9cm cyst on my pancreas. I don't drink, but I did eat quite poorly unfortunately. I had to wait for

post surgery FLOT decision!
Hi everyone we’ve got an appointment with the oncologist tomorrow to discuss whether or not to have the 4 cycles of FLOT. My husband was staged as T4a N1 or 2 and M0 and it was touch and go whether he could have the surgery. We were told because the tumour was so large and bulky he’d go for a trial dissection
