A Bladder Cancer Update.
I got a telephone call early this morning, I was still in bed. Was a woman offering me a place in a Private Hospital for A 'FLEXY CYSTOSCOPY' Good news but the hospital was miles away in Preston, in fact the other side. So I asked her could I not get in at my local hospital - She then started talking

not PCa related but promising in vivo therapy for cancer metastasis
”The polymer eliminates colorectal cancer liver metastases and prolongs mice survival, after only a single-dose therapy. The findings were published in Nano Today, a leading journal in the field of nanotechnology.” https://m.jpost.com/health-and-wellness/article-795801

Happy New Year
I'm well and coming up to first anniversary of total hysterectomy for grade 1b ovarian cancer. No treatment just 3 monthly follow ups with CA125. I am very emotional and feeling like a bit of a fraud for not just being very grateful that I am still here. Thanks

unfortunately the liver mets have returned to Martins liver. It is 6 months since chemo finished. There are multiple small mets. Martin is still feeling well. No fatigue, loss of appetite or pain. His MO said that this is very bad and gave a prognosis of 12 months. He is starting Martin on carboplatin

Where's the fire in delaying/pausing chemo?
3 weeks ago I started chemo with the Cabazitaxel/Carboplatin combination (I'd rather not name the hospital for now) I had a bad reaction to the first infusion (it turned out that I had an undetected infection, so my immunity was rock-bottom) As a result of that experience (10 days in hospital, wiped

Weird tingling (not just peripheral neuropathy)
Happy New Year to fellow warriors - I hope for your continued good health as we engage in common cause against our common foe. I start the New Year with an odd query: I'm now on Day 21 of a Cabazitaxel/Carboplatin combination chemo. I was due to have infusion #2 today, but because of a bad reaction,

Genetic testing and Second Opinion – A result!
Following on from my post last week about docetaxel not working, I had a frank conversation with my MO during which I said I strongly believe that genetic testing of my liver biopsy sample should be the next step and after some debate, to my surprise, he agreed and has put through the request. It’s still

5-htp for adrenal insufficiency?
I've just read a bunch of articles about 5-htp (an amino acid precursor to serotonin) stimulating the HPA axis and increasing cortisol levels. Has anyone tried this when tapering through the lower doses of pred?

Needing some suggestions to sitting for hours in hospital
I am 26 and on warfarin for a mechanical aortic valve inserted in April 23. I need to be tested very regularly, normally every 2 weeks atleast. It must be a blood test as the pin prick tests proved unreliable in my case. I spend hours and hours waiting at St Barts for a blood test which is where I am

fatigue
I was just changed from monthly blood tests to 6 months and 6 month check ups....the doc said I was stable and there was a good chance i would never need treatment. I am 76 and maybe he thought I would naturally not live that long. Anyway, my concern is this ongoing fatigue that smacks me in the face

PSA At Very Low Levels But Starting to Rise
My PSA started to rise from undetectable up to about .36 in July 2021 after 9 years of treatment. My MO reviewed a PSMA and decided to have my largest tumor radiated. My PSA went below .05 once again shortly thereafter. My most recent PSA labs were : .05, .06, .06, and .09 last week. I am conferring
