Any fybogel alternatives?
I was recommended trying
fybogel
for my IBS-C from the gastrointestinal I spoke to but my mum has tried it before and apparently it tastes foul so I’m just wondering if there are any other alternatives that anyone knows of that are meant to be effective and wouldn’t trigger any symptoms like gas/pain

Anyone tried fybogel for diarrhoea?
I was wondering if anyone had tried
fybogel
for a similar issue and how they got on? I know its primarily used to help with constipation, but as it is a bulking agent some sources seem to say it can also help with diarrhoea too.

Dietitians Advice
Flaxseed daily instead of
Fybogel
, Also reintroduce bread and potatoes, which I had cut out. Back in 8 weeks to see if this helps.

Constipation for life
I have told the dr I have tried everything and nothin works and gets a healthy result but now he’s put me cosmocol and I’m in agony and when I take things like
fybogel
moviol and this I start to now trust my body. I’m embarrassed it’s the most natural thing and I can’t do it

Constant Lower Abdominal Pain But No Change in Bowels - Getting Desperate
I've tried
Fybogel
sachets to try and increase my fibre intake. Although it made me slightly more regular, it didn't bring me any relief of symptoms. I'm desperate for any insight into this as I am frustrated about the lack of help from my doctor.

Buscopan can help
Hope this helps I think
fybogel
can sometimes cause more bloating. But of course it is safer to speak to someone with medical knowledge before you do 😉 I hope this help

Rectal pain after miscarriage (ERPC)
She’s told me to take some
fybogel
and see how I get on (she’s thinks possibly it’s constipation which could be a result of the general anaesthetic). Anyway - has anyone else experienced this?!

How long did Diagnosis of ibs take
Besides buscopan and
fybogel
they haven't give me anything else and it's getting to the point where I just can't be bothered with it anymore and feel like I'm not being listened to.

Movicol - sticky motions!
Fybogel
doesn`t help either so I switched to Movicol. It is more effective but causes 5 or 6 mainly small bm`s each day which are "sticky" and it takes ages to clean myself after each one. This makes me very sore and has even caused minor bleeding a couple of times..

constipation caused by amitriptyline
I`m taking
fybogel
twice a day, and using a glycerin suppository most days. I`m eating plenty of fruit and veg including prunes. I can`t eat much high-fibre cereal as that makes me very bloated and even more "bunged up". I have tried magnesium citrate in the past but it caused stomach cramps.
