Looking for success stories
I’m feeling a little deflated and I’m hoping you lovely humans can share some success stories with me. We had egg collection today. Despite having a high AMH (50.9) and PCOS they only retrieved five eggs, with two of the larger follicles being empty. For context, I’m 35 and we’re having ICSI due to

16 follicles but only 3 now growing?
Hi all - long time loiterer, first round IVF-er. I am in the stims stage of our first ever IVF round and slowly baking some follicles over here for first collection for PGTA. I know there are huge drop-offs at each stage - and super unlikely to get great numbers when I'm 42, however......at my baseline

DNA fragmentation and ICSI
Hello, I'm experiencing severe PMS today which means I'm overthinking everything and negative thoughts are just going round and round after a confirmed negative test on Friday (my 3rd and last FET of this cycle). We recently discovered my partner's DNA fragmentation is sitting at 30% and I have a few

Covid and AV treatment for clinically vulnerable
I succumbed to Covid 8 days ago. The day after the evening had positive LFT, I phoned 119 as directed on NHS inform. I ordered the PCR tests and then phoned my health board Covid line. The clinician prescribed Paxlovid to be started straight away, they were available at my pharmacy the same day.

When I'm walking I can have two pairs of gloves on and my hands are still cold, so I'm looking to get some running gloves ?? Thanks in advance for anyone's feedback

Making the invisible visible
I thought I’d share this in case it’s helpful for anyone. One of the hardest parts of my infertility journey has been dealing with pain and grief that is largely invisible to those around us. We are so blessed to have a daughter as a result of our fourth ICSI attempt, 5 years after we started try for

5 fertilised eggs, 1 still trying ICSI
Good morning, Yesterday I had my egg collection and they managed to collect 20 eggs, which I really wasn't expecting as I have a low AMH so was extremely happy. This morning I received that dreaded call to say 14 out of the 20 were mature, 5 have fertilised normally and 1 is trying to fertilise. I now

Why am I not elated? (Sensitive)
I’ve just tested (faintly) positive after trying naturally this month! We were due to start a second round of ICSI in a few days. Our first round was an unexplained disappointment (23 fertilised eggs but only one average blast) and resulted in a chemical. I don’t know whether it’s the fact I don’t have

First run after Covid (the 3rd time): a deliciously drizzly, cloudy run
Mightily proud that I managed to adhere to my plan and get out there today, for a first little run after recovering from Covid. I ran for 21 minutes, including 4 min warmup walk and 2 min cool down walk. I chose NRC 15 min Head Starts, which was perfectly timed. I took the nearest route from my

Day 3 transfer of fragmented embryos
I'm 33 yo with presumed poor egg quality though we have not check for sperm fragmentation. I have had 5 egg retrievals over the last year. The first 3 were to bank embryos and the fourth one was in Nov 2023 where we did a fresh transfer of a day 5 early blastocyst that failed. I usually make around

Failed ICSI - 2 eggs collected none survived
Hi, I guess I am just looking for some advice and good news stories. I had my egg retrieval yesterday. I was a slow responder to stimulation but managed to get about 4 follicles on either ovary to the right kind of size. They managed to get 2 eggs which I was really disappointed with. However received

Risks for in person working apart from COVID
Hi, this might be a slightly odd one. Both I and my partner work mostly work from home. However for my partner this is very formal and she has to get a special working arrangement agreed to get allow more than the normal number of days each week working from home. She needs to renew this arrangement

Don’t want to test tomorrow
urgh so this is our last try for a sibling (lucky to have daughter from 4th round of ICSI in 2020). We’ve been through just about every scenario with outcomes… 2 BFN, 1 MMC, 1 live birth, 1 chemical. We had 2 5 day morulas transferred last Monday and were told our chances of implantation were low so

Greece IVF buddy for April 2024?
Hi I am from the UK and about to start my first ever ICSI in Greece in April 2024 and wondered if anybody else will be in Greece in a similar situation? Thought it could be nice to have a local buddy for general chitchat and support? 🙂 #Greece #icsi #firsttime

I have had troubles with sinusitis since half a year.We tried antibiotics 6 times- last time prolonged for 3 weeks. After ohne week the infection is back. Could be that eventually I need a surgery. I had this problem already in 2012 and 2015 (it took me 1 - 2 years each time to get rid if this condition
