Zytiga Problems
Hello all, it’s been about 6 months since I’ve posted. So my sweet Dad has had 6 rounds of taxotere, did amazingly well. He’s now had 3 Lupron injections and will continue with those. He just started Zytiga 2 weeks ago. Says with the Zytiga he basically feels like shit. Cloudy, fatigued, in a funk basically

Calcium Oronate
I have osteoporosis. I presently take a calcium citrate supplement (together with vitamins K2-7, D3 and other supplements) to try to strengthen my bones or at least stop further deterioration. This is as an alternative to taking medication as I am afraid of the many side effects. I have just read that

Apologies for the foot picture - could this be a stress fracture?? ☹️
So first off, sorry for posting a foot picture 😳 Help!!! Today I’ve noticed bruising to my 2nd metatarsal. No pain yesterday whilst running my first post graduation consolidation run. No pain today until I got home from work and wore flip flops and even then it wasn’t much. Bit of an ache now but not

psa now up to 19 so obviously the trial is a failure. He is now going to start chemo, we assume doxetaxol. Any thoughts as to chemo, does it generally work? do you continue with xtandi, Lupron while taking it? thanks judy

Week 5 run 3
Interesting week! Started with being told the runs would change. All the way through my 3x5mins I wanted to know what was next. The answer came on weds with 2x8mins! Stupidly hot runs but all done and looking at a 20min run with interest and not fear. Then went out and did 27000 steps on a rest day!

Fracture Risk is High in Lupus
When examining risk for specific types of
fractures
, investigators found lupus patients were at high risk for hip and pelvic fracture compared to patients without lupus. The risk was also elevated, though not as much, for humerus and wrist

Any Problems Transitioning from Firmagon to Lupron
The 4 knots under the skin on my belly suggest I might try a 3 month Lupron shot in 24 days. The monthly Firmagon shots are seemingly scarring me. Any reason not to? Increased SEs?

Finally got the DEXA results and still not sure if he should start Prolia yet! Of course his MO will say yes, since she wanted to start Prolia without even doing a DEXA first! His appt with MO is this Monday and we need to decide if he wants the Prolia shot or not. His T-scores were Spine 0.6, Left

Xtandi now getting first line approval
Had a talk with my oncologist yesterday, Xtandi is now being recognized as a first line defense for stage 4 with hormone sensitive Mets. As in my treatment doctor did the following. Taxotere Chemo ,with lupron and Xgeva shots monthly, when the chemo was over he put me on the Xtandi pills. 35 months

Week 4 rethink
Ok so after calf muscle injury last week I tried again after 6 days rest (just walking a short distance each day) - however I couldn’t get beyond a brisk walk never mind a run before limping home again. Time for a rethink and reading all your posts has educated me. I am now the proud owner of these

I did it!
Happy Monday everyone! Thank you so much for your encouragements as I was dreading a little starting off week 4. Well, I did it! It was hard and I did think of stopping a few times but did not. I can't believe I ran 16 minutes and did more running than walking. It's interesting too to notice what

Question regarding XTANDI and its effectiveness if kept below room temperature for too long. Hi, I have a question regarding Xtandi and specifically if it is kept below room temperature for too long, could that spoil or compromise the effectiveness of Xtandi? You see, how Xtandi gets to me is it arrives
