I have osteoporosis. I presently take a calcium citrate supplement (together with vitamins K2-7, D3 and other supplements) to try to strengthen my bones or at least stop further deterioration. This is as an alternative to taking medication as I am afraid of the many side effects. I have just read that calcium oronate is more readily taken up by the body but I have never heard of it. Does anyone take it, have any information about it or know of a source?

Hi Jumpey! I now know it I’d called calcium orotate but little else. As far as the Vitamin K etc is concerned I can send you this link which includes a post by Aristotle regarding his improved T scores to out of the osteoporosis range. I am following his the advice as far as I can. Hope this helps.
It's a while since I researched this but I believe it's just what you are saying. Its more easily absorbed by the stomach.I personally have not tried it as my calcium levels have always been good through my diet.
