Lactose intolerance
I've been on a low
FODMAP
diet for about six months now. I've had very little success at the introduction of the the various food groups. My first trial was with lactose, this didn't go well and I'm at the stage of being tested for lactose intolerance.

Ready and Willing to go
Today I've filled my Calendar in ready for all important dates, I've done my
FODMAP
list so I know what foods I can eat and instead of giving myself resolutions that I know I'll give up on, I've set myself January Goals, hopefully having monthly goals will keep me focused. 1 Treadmill 5 days a week

IBS C what works and advice
- low
FODMAP
helped with bloating but not constipation. So found Triphala (eg a prokinetic) which I think a lot of people hadn’t heard of but made massive difference for me.

Advice on endo
I've been so bloated since September and nothing seems to be helping it not even the low
FODMAP
diet I've been told to try out. I've started to feel very self concious with how I look and getting to the point I don't want to go out with friends because I look gross.

For persons with IBS C
hi, I am on the Low
FODMAP
diet which does cause constipation. I have used a Mini "tens" device to stop my back pain and have found every time I use it I have to go to the loo, much more "comfortably" than usual. I wonder if this might help others having difficulty.

Imodium Plus Comfort
I'm doing the low
FODMAP
diet and in the re-introduction phase I picked up some Imodium Plus Comfort yesterday, so I can have these at the ready to take when I get my next flare up. I'm wondering if anyone on here has tried these and how they found them? Thanks, John

Conflicting ultrasound results... what now?
But I also saw a doctor a few months ago for IBS related issues, and the low
FODMAP
diet didn’t improve my pelvic pain. So I highly doubt it’s that. Can anyone help... or has anyone been in the same boat? I feel like I’m going mad and that it’s all in my head!

Low FODMAP or not?
Has anyone had much success with the low
FODMAP
diet with Hashimotos? A dietician gave us a leaflet and told us to get on with it but expect it to take up to 8 weeks, currently at week 4 and after initial slight improvement with Ibs symptoms now worse than ever.

Our 12 yr old son suffering terribly with IBS
Hi there, we have a 12 year old son who is suffering terribly with IBS for the last 2 years now...we have tried strict low
fodmap
diet as suggested. He has only had a scan and bloods, no other tests, we are so worried as he is starting to get so low in mood. Surely there is more help.

Anyone had any success with FODMAP diet??
My GP told me to try a
FODMAP
diet, but has not referred me to a specialist which it clearly advises online. I don’t know where to start and I don’t want to make myself more sick than I already am. Thanks for any advice. 😊

Alternative radical approachs to treating auto immune diseases and other illnesses.
Another dietician Gave me a
fodmap
leaflet and sent me on my way even after I said I have tried it 3 times already. My rheumatologist just handed me a leaflet on lupus medication but I still haven’t had the medication just a steroid injection which did help me.

If GP recommends a FODMAP diet, should they refer you to dietician on NHS?
GP suggested this to me but said she can’t refer due to cutbacks, but in all internet info it says patients must be supervised by a dietician. Thanks

Vegan with PCOS and IBS (FOOD HELP!)
I know all about the
FODMAP
diet, my mum has Crohn's Disease and is vegan too and her diet is based on it (and other things that her tummy allows). However, she relies quite a lot on soy.

Keeping an eye on your other conditions and meds
I have been having some stomach / bowel problems and suffer from diverticulitis and
FODMAP
disorders. Symptoms had gradually worsened and raised it with my doctor when I recently went in for my heart med scripts.
