Will be 60 in a few months. Had some health issues, started to lose weight, was making good progress when poorly, as I was not eating very much at all. Then I got the news that I was wheat and lactose intolerant, so started to eat junky food again to avoid milk, bread and cakes and put the weight back on. Have recently diagnosed IBS too so sticking to the recommended FODMAP foods. I need a plan but feel stuck at the moment. Can anyone give me advice on types of food to go for to lose weight with bad digestion?

Hi and welcome, RiceCracker
As none of us are qualified, it would be better to seek the advice of your GP/dietitian for the correct foods for you to lose weight and be healthy. My own input would be to eat fresh, whole foods and to avoid highly processed foods and those things that you are sensitive to.

Maybe eating paleo could work for you? - information about what that means: everydayhealth.com/diet-nut...
My guts have some issues as well and what works for me is home-cooked food - with as little of the processed stuff as possible. If you´re just starting out cooking more whole foods you do have to be careful to keep it low-FODMAP. The Happy Pear just did a short series with low-FODMAP, plant-based, recipes on Youtube, maybe you can get some ideas there?
