Really struggling with Low Fodmap Diet
I am now on week 5 of low
fodmap
diet - put on this as GP hasn't a clue what is going on with my digestive system and thought this may find what is triggering off my symptoms.

Do Probiotics Actually Help?
I’ve struggled with IBS for two years now and thankfully sticking to mostly a LOW
FODMAP
diet helps. But I’m curious if anyone has noticed a significant improvement in taking probiotics as well? Can you recommend some brands please?

Low FODMAP and Food combining may help IBS
I have never been properly tested for IBS but a nurse at my GP surgery said she thought I had IBS and advised me to go on a low
FODMAP
diet. She also prescribed Mebeverine, to be taken 20 minutes before each meal.

Learning About my symptoms and situation, FODMAP? Do I actually have IBS? Anxiety?
If anyone could recommend anything, is
FODMAP
a beneficial venture or just to share a similar story I'd be really appreciative. Thank you!

Another bike ride
My kitchen scales broke last night so I had to order some more as I have to weigh my food as I'm following the low
fodmap
diet. Got my scales and cycled home in the dry - result.

RLS and IBS?
Have noted my husband's restless legs seem better when he has avoided
FODMAP
foods that affect him. Not sure if coincidence and hard to test as so many things seem to influence his symptoms. He has never been on it for long enough to narrow down a list of the main offenders.

When to get gluten intolerance/coeliac test?
I dived into a
FODmap
diet and quickly scaled back to gluten, dairy and wheat free. I'd never been tested for intolerances for any though, I was just terrified of upsetting my heart again.

Mebeverine
I was also put on a Low
Fodmap
diet, which I find extremely difficult to bear :-/ But the other day, I ate some chicken stew with onions in it and I got a bad belly ache and had slight diarrhoea all night. This led me to wonder how much the Mebeverine helps or if it actually helps at all?

An afternoon of baking
I made low
fodmap
peanut, banana and oat bars, sweet potato brownies and GF oat bread. Tomorrow and Monday I'll be making up some low
fodmap
meals as I've nearly run out.

Vegan Chocolate Recipe
It is amazingly allergen free, low
FODMAP
, free from refined sugars too, but tastes amazing and you can add in what ever you like to customise it. Despite being dark chocolate it is really smooth and not bitter at all.

Low Fodmap Lentil, Squash and Sweet Potato Stew
I've made this recipe before and love it, I liquidise mine down. I had a bowl full of mixed veg with it. https://healthunlocked.com/api/redirect?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.laurenrenlund.com%2Frecipe%2Flentil-squash-sweet-potato-stew%2F I used Hing, about 1/4 teaspoon instead of the green onion tops.

Low fodmap Lentil, Squash and Sweet Potato Stew
This is the second time I've made this and I love it, it's got a good kick. Once the veg is all cooked I put the stew in the liquidiser as I love it smooth. I had a bowl of mixed veg to go with it. https://www.laurenrenlund.com/recipe/lentil-squash-sweet-potato-stew/ I used a 1/4 teaspoon of Hing instead

Period d*?
I've not strictly stuck to low
fodmap
but steered clear of garlic and onions(although last time I had onion I was absolutely fine). However, yesterday and today I've had awkward bms. I had gas both mornings which was painful and generally grim then 20mins later had what looked like explosive d*.

Hunger Pains, Help!
I have just recently started the Low
FODMAP
Diet and it's worked wonders however I'm always hungry and the urge to indulge is my downfall, putting me back to square one. If anyone has any suggestions on how to battle these hunger pains i'd love some ideas?!

Wild garlic leaves
Are wild garlic leaves ok raw and/or cooked for
FODMAP
diets? There are plenty around just now and I was wondering about freezing them.
