I found this article to be of great interest. We hear so much about food intolerance and how people swear by it and that they feel so much better. I, myself, went to a Nutritionist last year and when I mentioned it to the Dietician I'm seeing for the Low Fodmap diet she basically said don't take any notice of it and the only way to do it properly was to look at your diet. Since being under a Dietician I'm feeling so much better. I did wonder how me holding a magnetic bar and for a reading to appear on screen was testing me for what I could and couldn't eat. The Nutritionist said I had a high sensitivity to wheat and barley, it turns out I have a high sensitivity to just the barley and not wheat 'per se' as I've been making myself spelt sourdough for months now and haven't had any problems, in fact I've felt very well eating it. Also she said I had a medium sensitivity to peas where in fact it's high, my tummy does not like peas. I'll stick to the registered and trained Dietician thank you.
The 3R process appears the most logical and beneficial. It's good you have brought it to people's attention. People do waste a lot of money on useless test because the PR around it, makes it look good or the in thing. πππΊ
It really is Bobby, the 3R is what I'm following, the low fodmap diet, and for me it's changed my life literally. I was so poorly before with my tummy.
Thank you and I was so pleased to see the article, it answered questions I had. The Nutritionist I saw I'm sure wasn't registered, there was nothing on her website.
Kinesiology seems to be the 'in thing' at present.
The article was good and told it how it is. So many people get duped into going for these food allergy testing but it's big business and someone is making money from it and benefiting, unfortunately, It's not the person having the test. πππΌ
Yes I thought so too and it shows how much money those people make, all at the expense of those suffering.
I'm so glad the Network published it.ππππ€
Thank you Jerry and it was a very interesting read, I won't be going back to see a Nutritionist as following the low fodmap diet has answered a lot of questions for me.
