Problems with Flovent
My doctor prescribed
Flovent
for me last spring. The first inhaler worked the way it was supposed to. I started having trouble with the second one. It would work for a while and then it wouldn't. My pharmacist said to clean it by removing the cannister and rinsing the applicator in warm water.

ADHD and Asthma Medication
My son started taking Qvar last November because his insurance would no longer cover
Flovent
. In January or February of last year, his ADHD symptoms (ie, outbursts and aggressive behavior) started to show up.

Flovent questions
Do any of you take
Flovent
and experience heart palpitations from it? How long do they last? What do your docs say abt it? I experience them every single time I take it and immediately.. docs say they've never heard of such and it's not a problem, just ignore it.

restrictive lung defect
I'm on
flovent
twice a day and spiriva once a day. I have started doing yoga again and have started to walk again. Is there anything else I can do to slow this down. Have read that the radiation can continue to cause damage up to 2 years. Need more info.

Throat problems ... from medication?
Then the doctor added
Flovent
to my med schedule. An hour or two after taking Spiriva I take 2 puffs of
Flovent
. Afterwards, I rinse and gargle with water, then rinse and gargle with TheraBreath oral rinse, which is anti-bacterial but alcohol free.

SUBGLOTTIC STENOSIS - this rare condition has been included on this site due to it's implication in gastric reflux syndrome*****.
○ In active inflammatory states of the subglottis, such as granulation tissue, inhaled steroids are of potential benefit (eg,
Flovent
220, 2 puffs twice a day for 2 weeks; this is an off-label use based on the author's own experience).

Rapid heart rate
I took the alternative of taking 220mcg
Flovent
( corticosteroid) and 50mcg Severent ( salmeterol). These meds made a miraculous positive difference, was using rescue inhaler several times a day, now only 1- 2 times. PFT shows I have 31% lung function.

Follow directions when using your inhaler for better outcome
My pulmonary doctor put me on a
Flovent
inhaler to be used twice a day - 2 puffs in the morning and 2 puffs 12 hours later. I went to the
Flovent
site on my computer and was surprised to learn that I was using my inhaler wrong the first week!

Asthma
I was prescribed
Flovent
for my asthma because it has no to little effect on the heart. It is how ever a steroid. Has anyone had any experience with this? Thank you. Still hopeful.

Does it ever get better?
Flovent
, symbicort and alvesco and ventolin seems to not help that much.my questions are - has anyone struggled a long time to then finally get relief with the right medicine? I am losing hope. Also because I constantly struggle to get the breath I find it impossible not to get anxious.

Hello
Back on
Flovent
for now, plus rescue inhaler. Any thought of other inhalers? Or just commiseration...

Flovent Users
Does anyone use
Flovent
? I am trying to determine the cause of shortness of breath that I have been having the past couple of months. Started
Flovent
in April and this has been going on since May. Just wondered if there were others that had any problems with it. Thanks

My Experience of Deafness.
I suppose it must be over a year now. After a virus / cold or some such thing I found that my hearing had suddenly deteriorated such that I was unable hear most conversations, most television programmes unless the volume was high enough to render the whole household deaf. I couldn't hear the mobile

Adult Asthma diagnosed at 42
My GP did prescribe Abluteral/
Flovent
while I had Brinchitus, but they didn't seem helpful, and no wheezing was ever present. Also, I had no changes in my environment, and no allergy symptoms. Perplexed, a CAT was ordered.

Then I take
flovent
1 or 2 times a day. I never have trouble breathing or dizziness. My oxygen levels are usually in the 97-98 range. Any feedback is really appreciated.

Lung overinflation
I was on Dulera and
Flovent
in the past and did nothing. My symptoms were not as bad then. Thats what scares me, how I feel like I am worse. 6 months ago I had normal spiro for the most part, FEV1 always high. Again, that is irrespective of hyperinflation.
