Afib forever
I have been in constant afib and flutter since my ablation on May 18th and I am taking xarelto,
flecainide
and bisoprolol I also had a cardioversion on the 23rd which lasted for 24 hours and then went back into afib. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Auntiejo

EP consultation
From his side the options were Amiodarone - I feel that is last resort and I am not there yet,
Flecainide
which I am not keen on but will consider but want to be observed for first dose in hospital in case of Myasthnic crisis - which he agreed was essential.

Efficacy and Safety of Quarter-Dose Blood Pressure–Lowering Agents -- commentary
We also know that some drugs such as
Flecainide
make things worse at high doses therefore, unless there is a good reason (like with antibiotics) to use a high initial dose, probably the best way is to start small and slowly increase.

Initial EP appointment at Barts
He was happy to discharge me today with 14 100mg doses of
flecainide
and will advise my GP to prescribe as needed. He said I should get myself re referred if I develop any co-morbidities, get significantly worse or turn 65 - whichever happens first!

12 months after Cryoablation
I came off my daily dose of
Flecainide
after the 6 month review which may have contributed to the two short episodes, and provided my blood pressure is OK, I'm hoping to dump the Diltiazem after my review in August, but will stay on Apixaban.

Change in AF perhaps
I take 150mgs
Flecainide
twice a day, and Warfarin. I also have Chronic asthma, and wear compression socks to combat lymphoedema. I also have an enlarged prostate and the medication for that doesn't seem to be working - it's being investigated.

Wolf Parkinson white failed ablation
I've been given
flecainide
which I had before and now adizem-sr but on reading the leaflet it says for angina or high blood pressure but I'm sure the consultant said they worked together so a bit confused.

Very new to this - so what next?
He has given me
Flecainide
as a PiP and told me to modulate Caffeine and alcohol but return to see him if frequency of episodes increase. Now I’m thinking ‘what next?’ do I just follow his advice (and that of my wife!)

No more flatlining!
Hi guys, I've just had a pacemaker implanted due to my flatlining when taking
Flecainide
...So I feel a bit safer after my last experience… It's early days but I am noticing that after walking my heart rate seems higher than it normally does, I am hoping this is due to the Trauma and inflammation caused

Thank You
However, with Bisoprolol and
Flecainide
everything calmed down nicely. After a couple of bad flare ups was prescribed Rivaroxaban. Nearly went down the ablation route but decided to keep trying to control it myself.
