Needing encouragement to cut back on Flecainide, post ablation!
Flecainide
. Gradually decreased to 50 mg. Occasional palpitations, but can't complain too loudly. So here I am 7 1/2 months post ablation, trying to get the courage to drop to 25 mg

Flecainide and hearing problems
Hi all, anyone taking
flecainide
experience dreadful tinnitus, funny fuzzy head and some hearing distortion? I'm on hold in Spain & its really spoiled our break. Looked on back posts and there is some feedback similar to mine, will go to GP when we are home next week.

Interaction of Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda)
Just wondered if anyone had positive or negative experiences of taking Baking Soda to reduce acidity or other ailment; in particular any interaction with
Flecainide
or supplements such as Mg & CoQ10. I am trying to improve my digestive system but don't want to cause other problems.

Some Progress
I thought I needed an increase in the
flecainide
. I received a call from the office assistant stating that the doc said to go ahead with the increase.

Medication side effects
I was initially prescribed
Flecainide
but the side effects were awful so the cardiologist changed them to Bisoprol 2.5. I can hardly drag myself to work every day and feel very depressed for no apparent reason. I feel a bit embarrassed to go back and say that this doesn't suit me either.

AF progression - halted or simply masked by drug treatment?
Flecainide

Off of Flecainide and Metoprolol just 1 month after ablation
Just to share my experience post ablation because I see I am not the only one worrying. I was kind of surprised to hear from my EP to stop both medications just one month after the ablation - cold turkey. The explanation was that I was on Fleca "only" 9 months and just a small dose of Metopropolol

A newbie with worries about dental treatment!
Also Bisoprolol 2.5mg once a day,
Flecainide
50mg twice a day plus Losartan 100mg for blood pressure. And I should just explain about my journey and why I am so grateful for all the advice on this forum.

Support and Control
My gp is very upset with the lack of medical care and with my decision to put myself back on the
flecainide
without being able to consult the EP. She understands my decision to resume the
flecainide
- I felt thrown out in left field by the ER with no controls put in place to deal with the AF.

New to AF
My cardiologist is very good and suggested drug therapy before considering the surgical route. 3 weeks of
Flecainide
nearly killed me off! Have now been prescribed blood thinners and a beta blocker. I only have 1 episode a week, if that, and never lasts longer than 2 minutes.

For PIP, why is bisoprolol preferred to verapamil?
For someone not on medication, a common Pill in the Pocket is 100mg
Flecainide
+ 1.25 to 2.5mg Bisoprolol (your doses may be different). I know you can stop and start a small dose of bisoprolol. But, ten days ago I had an example of repeated attacks of AF/Tachycardia.

Hi :) New person here. Atrial Flutter after routine surgery.
After that they also put me on 50mg of
Flecainide
twice a day. I guess I'm wondering if anyone has heard of AF or other heart conditions occurring post op (non-cardiac procedures)? I've had about 4 episodes since the initial one.

Orange juice and salt.
In the end I took 250mg of
Flecainide
(which I've been advised by my consultant not to take because he reckons I have heart failure (is it possible to cycle 70 mileat 16.1 MPH with heart failure?). Anyway. I'm still here. So. orange juice and salt. It's worth a try ,,,,,,,,

Chemical Cardioversion with Amiodarone tablets
I have learned to take prompt action, well known on this forum, the tricks, +
Flecainide
. The target is the irregularities, deal with that, and rate goes suddenly to normal. So, I should have been taking
Flecainide
as prophylaxis. Well, Friday, the real big one hit me, 5pm right on time.

Post Ablation
Flecainide
, Bisoprolol, and Apixaban and alternative Anticoagulants were mentioned. I would have thought that one is also at risk of clots during the procedure also?
