ADHD "Cured"
I had made a post basically outlining my negative life experiences and how ADHD played a role and I had treated for depression (a symptom of the ADHD) for years and I was also looking for opinions about Adderall. I had taken Vyvanse for a few weeks with 0 results, may as well have been placebo. After

"Check your Fish Oil Capsules -- They're very likely to be rancid!"
This was the advice I received from a very sharp and nutrition-oriented internist (MD) with whom I met this week. Among other things, he encouraged me to cut open one of my capsules and just smell it. I did so and WOW -- the odor was overpowering! The oil in the capsules seems clearly rancid, and

Moved back in!
Hello BLF friends I moved back on Friday after hospital. It was a long day. Still squashed on the sofa with an electric radiator, it’s -2 but it’s ok curled up under the duvet. See who keeps me company, and takes most of the room 😃 I’m joking She has been a most supportive companion actually. It’s

Jakafi side effects
Hi everyone, I’m 62, diagnosed w et about 12 years ago, pv a few years later. Terrible itching, esp in high temperatures, was driving me crazy. I got on Jakafi for the itching, and that’s been great. But my immune system has gone to hell—weird infections, bimonthly bronchitis, painful heel bursitis

To make it easier, I change the ground
flaxseed
to buckwheat flour, the coconut
oil
to olive oil and the raw ACV to normal white wine vinegar if I’m out of ACV. It’s lovely toasted with Bonne Maman blackcurrant jam. You do need a food processor and a loaf tin though.

Is the levodopa in sinement any different then the levodopa in mucuna?
This may be a stupid question but Is the levodopa in sinement any different then the levodopa in mucuna? one synthetic vs one natural? the levodopa crosses the blood brain barrier with inclusion of carbidopa and the levodopa in mucuna has nothing aiding this transfer thus less reaches the brain (unless

Reposting of comments on depression and the gut. How to heal the gut naturally
The following has been copied from another thread and covers issues about the role of the gut in depression, and ACAC has such useful advice here about how to heal the gut that I have reposted it for people who missed that thread. My husband has had depression and anxiety for quite a few years prior

Food Reaction Tests
My early symptoms for what they were are in remission. I still have a swollen finger, but the generalised pain has gone. My ankles and knees are occasionally a bit achy, but my stiff hands in the morning have gone away. I can drive without discomfort and don't have to remove my shoes in the office.

Supplement list
Sorry I've just realised a couple of people asked what supplements I take and I forgot to post! Basically to reiterate previous advice if you decide to take any supplements, you should really check with your Doc/Onc team especially if you are on any meds before taking supplements in case of a side effect
