Hi. I'm from the U.S.. Not xpat, just looking for ascites forums and came across BLT. Just found out about my ascites a couple months ago. Got banded then they tried TIPS which failed. I have to get drained almost weekly and yield around 8-9 litres. I don't know what's next as have not seen doc yet.

What next?
Hi all, I’ve just found out my 2nd FET has failed and looking for any advice what to do next. We had 3 PGS normal embryos, 2 out of 3 have now failed to implant. I’ve had ERA, EMMA, Alice tests, a Hysteroscopy abs HyCoSy and everything was normal. I’ve got high NKC but had treatment with an IVIG drip

Been left hanging for pointless ultrasound while my symptoms take over?
Hi all! Does anyone have a rough estimate to how long getting referred to an ultrasound usually is? I spoke to my doctor 9.5 weeks ago about finally asking to pursue an endo diagnosis, after all the previous tests I've had for lots of issues have come back clean. (I've been dealing with assorted health

Period after failed embryo transfer
Hi all, looking for advice. I had a failed embryo transfer. Once I stopped the crinone gel I had a period about 4 days later. a little heavier than usual to start but then normal. It went away after 5 days as usual and then I had another short fresh bleed about 4/5 days later. So its like I have had

Are 6 days blastocysts as common as 5 days?
... because I read 5 days everywhere 😅 On the 21st I had my egg retrieval, got 10 eggs, more than expected, and the lab called us the day after to tell us that 9 fertilized! We were on cloud 9. 5 days later when we were scheduled for embryo transfer, I only had one ‘good’ blastocyst ready which they

Has anyone had a successful pregnancy after an average quality embryo transfer?
Hey guys! I'm going in for my embryo transfer today on my second cycle, only one embryo fertilised this time around and they said its only average quality again but it's the only one we have, so we're having a day 3 transfer. In our first cycle we only had 2 fertilise, both average quality also, resulted

Hysterectomy ✅
Hi, For the lovely ladies that asks me to give an update. I had a successful total hysterectomy yesterday and slowly starting to feel like myself again. I had the spinal pain blocker and I don’t think I was prepared for coming round and not being able to feel or move my legs! In a little bit of pain

Pulmonary Fibrosis
I would appreciate any advice on whether you think it’s better going private rather than using the NHS. My experience of the NHS has not been good. I was initially told two years ago I had scaring on my lungs, further X-rays were done three months on and I was told it was not progressive. Since then

Whether to delay frozen transfer abroad??
Dear Ladies, Looking for advice please: We are about to go to Greece for our frozen transfer. I have already started to down regulate using prostap and had scans. I’m worried about flight availability around 20th June and the huge cost of pcr tests for me and hubby - £1k at least and my work has told

Pulmonary fibrosis and methotrexate
Hi, I have just joined having been diagnosed with PF. I have an inflammatory arthritis called ankylosing spondylitis. I take Methotrexate as well as biologic injections fir that. My Rheumatologist has asked me to stop MTX for now as it can be a cause of PF. I’ve been on it 4.5yr to treat peripheral symptoms

Has anyone had less follicles after increased bemfola?
Hi everybody, I just wondered if anyone else has had this experience as I'm starting to feel broken! I'm on my 2nd cycle of IVF with MACS ICSI, I'm 29 and my AMH is 8.08 so they never expected to get loads of eggs, but first time round on scans they only saw 5 follicles developing, but managed to collect

MTX and pulmonary fibrosis
She called last Friday to say it came back with Pulmonary
Fibrosis
. You could have knocked me sideways. Now today my Rheumy phoned and said to stop MTX immediately as it can cause pulmonary
fibrosis
, although he agrees the inflammatory arthritis can also cause it.

Confirmed - the bad news we were expecting
I started bleeding 16dp5dt and had been having quite bad period-like cramps but as you do, we clung on to anything we could think of (or find on google that worked in our favour), desperate for an explanation and for everything to be fine. I had my second blood test today which confirms my hcg is decreasing
