Evorel Patches not sticking!
Hi all. I usually have Estradot patches (Oestrogen only) just moved up to 75mg and a different GP signed off my prescription & put it through as generic. I have therefore ended up with these stupid Evorel patches. They are so enormous! I changed it on Tuesday & today it started lifting up & bagging.

I read that nicotine can help PD. So I'm trying nicotine patches. I cut one patch into 4 pieces and stuck one on my arm. A couple hours later my stomach is growling loudly. Normally that doesn't happen. I assume gastroparesis is involved. Other than that no problems.

Tobacco?
There's been recent comments on tobacco. Years ago I was researching MS and came on medical reports on the use of nicotine patches for PD. I didn't go deeper into it but never forgot it either. Now I'm wondering if I should try it. I'm against smoking. That's why I never tried pot smoking.

3 weeks done.
3 weeks of not smoking. Physical side effects gone. Still crave a cigarette every day but haven't given in. Using nicotine patches which seem to be working. Sense of smell has definitely improved. I can smell smoke on other people which I couldn't before. Still have a slight cough but nothing compared

Quit smoking
Do you think it’s better to quit smoking cold turkey or using nicotine patches? Thank you.

Free ebook of 300 pages:"Parkinson's here and now. 27 years searching for a cure for Parkinson's disease (1994-2021)."
This coming Monday (if everything goes as planned) I will publish on my blog "Parkinson's here and now" the link to a free book of about 250-300 pages and in printable pdf format, which collects the most interesting of the book I published in 2015 (now translated into English) as a tribute to my father

Is Parkinson's disease a lifestyle disease? 1. Parkinsonian lifestyle (higher risk).
(Excerpt from the book I am writing now. I hope you find it useful). Is Parkinson's disease a lifestyle disease? 1. Parkinsonian style (increased risk of developing the disease) I have less and less doubts about the existence of a "Parkinsonian" way of life, which predisposes and increases the risk

Advice please
I have smoked since I was 13. I'm 35 now. I stopped once for 5 years then started again a year ago. I smoke more than ever now and can really feel the effects. I so desperately want to stop but I can't use nicotine patches I've had bad reactions to them. I can't go cold turkey because I become a monster

Stopping smoking
I’m on day 18, I am all over the place. I feel forgetful at times and just have moments I feel so awful in myself. My skin is worse, I’ve put weight on. I don’t know how to handle the cravings. I’ve got a vape and nicotine patches, can anyone advise anything more that could work please?

Vitamin D the sunshine vitamin
A study was done on breast cancer patients and found that most were lacking in vitamin D. I am a breast cancer survivor I take 8000 vitamin D daily. It is not too far-fetched to feel that most autoimmune problems also are related to a lack of vitamin D as many people with this problem live in the Pacific

Hello! I have been meaning to find a community since I started so I stop boring my roommates with details. I also work in a creative tech industry where people get defensive and shamed when anyone talks about trying to get healthier. :p This is my third time trying, but the first time it’s stuck for

Hi I'm new to posting! Looking for advice on nicotine patches 😊
Hi everyone! I'm just finishing day 10 of being smoke free using nicotine patches and hoping for some advice from those who have quit using this method before 😊. Originally I started using step 1 of niquitin clear strips which I found a nightmare. The strips fell off almost constantly and they were

Endo, the pill and kidneys?
I’ve been getting quite a lot of pain in my sides and mid back deep inside recently which usually occurs as the day is beginning to end. I also get stomach pains which I’ve had for ages but usually disappears when I’m on birth control. After dinner it usually starts and I feel bloated in my back if that

Periods worsening every time I take a break from hormones?
On the evra patch, took it off to have a period before switching to the pill (logynon) as the patch was causing high blood pressure and palpitations. Every time I take my patch off if seems to get worse. This morning I had a tightening pain from my bottom left abdomen which traveled up through my ribs

Estradot for perimenopause?
Hi, I’m new here! I’ve been perimenopausal for almost 3 years (irregular periods, hot flashes and fatigue being the main symptoms). I saw my GP last week who prescribed Everol Sequi, but as they’re unavailable then changed the prescription to Estradot patches (along with progesterone tablets). The Estradot

Does anyone find nicotine patches useful? If so to what extent? And do they compensate for the desire of the harshness of the cigarette.

Ongoing struggle
I keep giving up and starting up again. I get stressed out by something and the urge to smoke overwhelms me. I've have success with the nicotine patches and currently on the quick mist spray. I had been smoke free for two weeks, I find it really hard to control morning cravings especially when I make
