Evorel Patches not sticking!

Hi all. I usually have Estradot patches (Oestrogen only) just moved up to 75mg and a different GP signed off my prescription & put it through as generic. I have therefore ended up with these stupid Evorel patches. They are so enormous! I changed it on Tuesday & today it started lifting up & bagging. I have stuck it down with micropore tape but now that is starting to lift 🙄. I didn’t want to put a new patch on & waste one but don’t think I’ve got much choice.

Anyone else had any experience of this? Driving me nuts. I can hear it rustling all the time I’m walking 😂.

Thank you 😊. Yes that’s the problem- I usually have Estradot Patches which are a lot smaller & stick really well but I think they’re out of stock too. We’ll get there. 😊

Hi some women buy I think it’s a wound dressing begging with a T from chemists and that helps. I have used it but found I was allergic to the glue so use the gel now

Hi, I think Belle76 is referring to Tagederm. I haven't used it myself as my estradot stick well. (Fingers crossed for my next repeat 🤞🏼) I've seen this discussed on other forums.

Good luck, sounds like a real pain. My first lot of estradot were hard to get hold of, the pharmacist gave me an IOU for some of them. The next lot arrived quicker. The pharmacist told me they're unpredictably in and out of stock and I should order my repeats a little earlier than I usually would.

If I were you, I'd ask about getting some estradot as soon as they're available and keep the evorel for rainy days.

It's completely reasonable to request a brand that works for you.

Hi there, I wear another type of medicine patch & that stays on only with Tegaderm dressings, clear, waterproof ones that in my experience last for the full 3 days before I need to change my patch, even having baths. It’s definitely the branded ones that work & not any generic ones. Your local pharmacy could sell them or I buy my 6cm x 7cm ones from the very well known online shop. Regards
