Medrol to Hydrocortisone for suspected steroid withdrawal?
I've been on Medrol since mid-December -Had successfully reduced from 48 mg to 4 mg and was doing well. Reduced from 4 mg to 3.5 mg and have had extreme fatigue, weakness, lightheaded, brain fog, nausea. No signs of PMR flare. Went back to 4 for a couple days, then 6 and still a mess. I felt like I was

How do you handle high appetite?
Hi everyone! Hope you all are doing great. So I'm over 6 month post transplant, and as a part of my 3-component immunosuppression therapy I'm taking methylprednisolone (Medrol by Pfizer), 6mg. And my appetite is so unusually high! I'm almost always hungry. It takes me a lot of willpower and discipline

I got sick over 3 months ago and was prescribed a ZPack and a Medrol Pack. Three days into the treatment, I began experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, and insomnia. I continued the treatment and was told that my side effects would go away within 7-10 days after taking the last dose of the Medrol pack

Steroid side effects?
After my GCA diagnosis I am on 40 mg Medrol at the moment. The classic GCA symptoms like headache, jaw pain, scalp tenderness 99% gone. Also my dry cough is totally stopped. But.. I have other weird and frustrating symptoms. Constant tinnitus, ear pressure, tingling feeling in both of my feet and sole

Bruising on legs
I have been on medrol now for 8 years. I’m down to 3mg. I have experienced easy bruising on my legs they have lead to severe wounds. I now wear compression socks and padded protection on my lower legs. My question is, do the dark spots left over from the bruising ever go away? I put oil on them in the

Bruising reduction.
Have extensive dark bruising esp on legs. Am moisturizing arms and legs and just ordered arnica cream. Can I expect a reduction in this awful bruising steroid side effect as I taper down from medrol?? Am currently at 18,5 mgs. Thx.

bombing a flare
When excruciating sciatica sent me to the emergency room several years ago, I was administered 20mg of dexamethasone (Decadron) to cut the rampant inflammation, which provided relief within an hour. That was followed by a Medrol pack for the next week and, with exercise, I got over the sciatica. Of course

Fell today. Flare or injury?
Tripped on little area rug and fell today. Landed on LEFT ribcage and upper back hip but 400 mgs Ibuprofen took care of pain. Also may have hurt RIGHT shoulder and upper arm which had already been symptomatic (and I raised medrol dose 5 mgs—didn’t help but doc doesn’t want me to add more.) It hurts

Ocrevus Infusion - First Time
I just completed my initial Ocrevus infusions - 1/2 dosage 15 days apart. Sharing my experience as I had a lot of questions and now I have some of the answers. I recommend taking whatever you need to be comfortable to the infusion center. I carried a bag with a healthy lunch, and mints in case I had

Anybody familiar with this complication of radiation therapy? I've been fighting with my left leg for the past 4 months with increasing loss of function. It started as a nightime drawing of my left leg across my body and has now progressed to paralysis of the quad muscles and I am now having to use

From 4 mg of Prednisone to 240mg of Solumedrol.. in 30 hours....
I'm in the hospital contemplating the curses and blessings of prednisone and the whole family of steroids. I have chronic asthma and haven't had a severe asthma attack for 13 years. Who knows maybe all my prednisone was protecting me. I've been tapering slowly and last Wednesday had a routine visit and

I suffer from Anxiety/Panic attacks
Hi I'm new, and I have terrible anxiety/ with a bit of panic that has started up again, it's hard to eat. I have this tightness in my ears that drives me nuts and the only thing I can think of is my 25 mg amitriptyline isn't working anymore. I asked my doctor to increase it 50 mg since I have had it

Tachycardia?
As a follow-up to my last post about seasonal allergies and medication, my doctor gave me an injection of Decadron and Depo-Medrol (cortisone) for allergies. A couple days later while doing outdoor chores, I had a tachycardia event, rested, and had three more events in succession, the last lasting 15
