Negative Rheumatoid factor?
Can I still have Psoriatic Arthritis despite having a negative rheumatoid factor? my ESR is around 37, I am a fifty year old woman with psoriasis since I was 7 years old, and have rotten toenails because of it. GP keeps telling me that my pains are due to osteo arthritis as my Rhem factor is negative

Low Stomach Acid and Intrinsic Factor
Just thought I'd put this info up here before I write it up properly. Some of you realise that B12 deficiency can be caused when stomach acid is low and the pH level of the acid falls so b12 cannot be cleaved from food. Well another point to note is that I now have it confirmed by a specialist that

Intrinsic factor result
I have a B12 level of 132 and my GP recently tested my Intrinsic Factor. The result came back as 8 U/ml (range 0-6), does this mean I have PA or not? I'm confused, as GP didn't mention it and I only found this out when I read my blood test printout at home.

Liver Pain and Causes
I am curious to know if anyone does any liver detox. I have read that castor oil can help reduce liver inflammation. I am willing to have my mother try this to help with her liver pain .

Should I be getting treatment?
I'm a bit confused and hoping someone can offer advice. Apologies if this gets lengthy, but I want to give the background to where I'm at now, so thank you for taking the time to read. Over the past few years I've had a range of health issues which have become more & more of a problem in my daily life

B12 and Magnesium
After reading the post by Steve101 on this subject a month ago, I was so intrigued that I decided to seek a medical opinion. Like many people who have had an oesophagectomy, I sometimes suffer from fatigue and a general lack of energy. I forwarded the post to the Chairman of our local Upper GI Network

More advice please...
Hi everyone, I posted on here early January and got great advice. I've been back to my GP and now have the results of latest blood tests. Both myself and my Dr are flummoxed. She has mentioned M.E. as a possible explanation and would treat it with anti depressants. I still have the numb arms hands and

Intrinsic factor
I have just come across a vitamin B complex supplement that includes intrinsic factor(porcine) Has anyone heard of this? And would it really help in the absorbtion of B12? It sounds too good to be true. Woud be interested to hear any information.

FBS not under control.
Dear Friends, I managed to control my AIC from 11.2 to 6.9 in 3 months, primarily with LCHF but with medicine continuation ( Refer my earlier post for details) Since last one month I tried to reduce meds I take night. I cut off 2MG AMARYL, 30 MG ACTOS from my night medicine. My FBS gradually kept increasing

B12d, FM, VitD or all three???
I am finding it impossible to figure out what is going on inside me. :-( I had blood test results in November 14 showing that my B12 level was at 1509 in ref range of 191 - 663. This was 2 weeks after a 3 x monthly B12 injection. At the same time my intrinsic factor was tested and found to be normal
