Intrinsic factor result

I have a B12 level of 132 and my GP recently tested my Intrinsic Factor.

The result came back as 8 U/ml (range 0-6), does this mean I have PA or not?

I'm confused, as GP didn't mention it and I only found this out when I read my blood test printout at home.

Yes, so you have an iron clad reason to remain on B12 for life. Hope you get the right treatment

Thank you.....annoyed the GP didn't even acknowledge it, but at least now I know and can arm myself with all the info I need to fight my case
