I am on B12 injections every 8 weeks and Vit D ampoules twice monthly. All GP prescribed I don’t have the print out sorry for my bloods to give

1 month Ablation recovery diary
Hi all, thought this might help anyone considering an ablation to get an idea of the recovery to expect. It's not designed to scare, perhaps put your mind at rest if you're post ablation and getting symptoms. Of course, everyone's recovery is different and this is by no means representative of all outcomes

NHS website - Blood tests for iron deficiency anaemia
Just happened to notice this paragraph when I was checking something else entirely.
Blood tests for iron deficiency anaemia
Your GP will usually order a full blood count (FBC) test. This will find out if the number of red blood cells you have (your red blood cell count) is normal

Why is my chest tight and breathing laboured but tests are all normal?
Hello! I'm new to this site and see that others over the past several years have posted having the same symptoms that I'm having, and I'm wondering if anyone figured out what this could be: for over 6 months I've had a persistent cough, occasional stuffy nose, tightness of chest and laboured breathing

Best Iron Supplement to up Iron & Ferritin levels
Hi My Iron and Ferritin are always on the low side. Recently my iron was 13, 3 months before it was 8 and ferritin never seems to go above 30. I am currently on 1 ferrous fumarate daily 210mg, but this never seems to increase levels higher. I can't tolerate two a day as I get a very bad stomach. I have

Had antibodies, now don’t
Hello. In the late 1990s I tested high positive for gastric parietal cell antibodies. Then again on three other occasions during recent years. However, last week I had a test for gastric parietal cell and intrinsic factor antibodies and to my surprise both came back negative. Is this usual? Can these

Possibility of Lymphangitis Carcinomatosis as a consequence of HCC.
What is the possibility of Lymphangitis Carcinomatosis as a consequence of HCC? My father had TARE in September 2019 for his 9 cm right lobe tumour. Now he has extreme breathing difficulty. The latest PET CT shows no tumor uptake. Chest X-ray shows scattered opacities in the lungs. Doctors say likely

Are iron injections available privately or via the Nhs in the UK
Hi, gp's and hospital Dr's have stated iron injections are no longer available in the UK. Wondered if this is true for private? Oh, what a mystery is our affliction
Hello. I have not posted in some time. Was DX about 3 years ago with emphysema/asthma. It has not been fun, as I'm sure all of you can agree. But things have gotten much worse for me since Christmas, to the point where I can no longer sleep at all because of SOB. Went to pulmo yesterday. I was sure I

Chest X-Ray, Marked Interstitial Drawing
Hi all, first timer here. I live over in sunny Poland, and about two weeks back I came down with a bit of a cough. Now, my doctor thought it was bronchitis and put me on anti-biotics, which didn’t clear. So went back again today to then get referred for an x-ray. Now, me and my wife translated the x-ray

Fundic gland polyps
I have been diagnosed with B12 deficiency. I recently had an upper endoscopy in an effort to find out why. The gastroenterologist that did my procedure told me I had many small polyps, mostly in the fundus, but a few in the body of the stomach. Many biopsies were taken. The polyps are all fundic
