armour update
i have been raking Armour for almost 6 months now and despite the initial feelings of depression, the increased dose has left me feeling much better. My thyroid blood tests have just been returned and are described as abnormal. I am curious to know if anyone with more experience than me thinks they

FasFasting before blood test
hi, following my last post, my gp has agreed to add B12, ferritin etc to my annual thyroid review. I've been told here to not take my usual morning dose before the test;however, looking online most medical websites say its not necessary to fast. Anyone care to clarify for me please. thanks

Big Ferritin Drop in a Year (over 50%)
Not a thyroid question, but a ferritin question if anyone is able to advise? Apologies in advance that this is long, just trying to set the scene. Brief background - I have Hashimoto's and after many years am on T3 monotherapy. I am vegetarian, and take various supplements as recommended on here, and

Magnesium as ozonated magnesium oxides
Hello again. Slow Dragon said that there needs to be 4 hours after T4 or T3 before taking Magnesium. I take magnesium from ozonated magnesium oxides with 3% potassium before bed to help with any constipation that still lingers a little. I asked the company about their product and they said they don't

As was suggested would happen on a previous post has happened; started on 25mg and my TSH has dropped. Just had the results: recent TSH 1.48 ( previous 2.18) recent T4 14.6 ( previous 13.1) recent T3 3.8 ( previous 4) Interestingly my [high] cholesterol has gone down by around 15% , I had argued

over medicated new dosage help!
hi lovely people, over the past 18 months I’ve slowly lost 21lbs. Over the past week I have noticed I am having over medicated symptoms (I have been overmedicated before so know what to look out for). I am currently on 100mcg levo and 10mcg lio. Do you think I would be better taking 75mcg levo with

Hashimotos/Novothyral 75
My first time posting. I am not sure if a message this long is allowed so I do apologise. I was seeing London consultant as have Hashimotos. Was moved from Levothyroxine 75 every day in November 2023 to Novothyral 75 every day instead as apparently my T4 wasn't converting to T3 very well. Took

Hello everyone, This is my 4th thyroid test (all testing advice adhered to, tests between 9.00-9.40am) over the last 6 months since joining HU and asking for advice. It looks to me like T4 has started to raise. I've listed below all 4 tests for comparison. It's now 47% through the range which seems

Low phosphate levels linked to hypothyroidism?
Hi all, I am under close monitoring for my kidneys by a renal consultant. I had severe acute kidney injury (AKI) caused by sepsis last year and am very slowly improving. At my recent six monthly blood test, my phosphate levels had dropped and they are now below range. The trend for this has been dropping

For years my thyroid blood test results have used the same units so, Free T4 pmol/L range 12 - 22 Free T3 pmol/L range 3.1 - 6.8 I have just received results with different units, so they won't fit into my spreadsheet. Free T4 ng/dL range 0.93 - 1.71 Free
