happy or change meds?

If your labs looks like this, would you be happy or increase meds a little?

TSH: 2.34 (range 0.40-4.5)

Ft4: 1.2 (0.8-1.8 )

Ft3: 3.1 (2.3-4.2)

TSH should be under 2, with most forum members reporting they feel best when it drops nearer 1. However, the important question is… how do you feel?

I’m going to ask my doctor to increase but I feel like adding an extra pill per week is too much. Maybe an extra 50 mcg every Saturday?

I increase very slowly, adding 12.5mcg Levothyroxine alternate days at first. I find a pill cutter useful for this

I had similar results a few months ago and increased from 75 to 87.5 EOD. Felt better for it . I think 50 mcg once a week too much in one go. My TSH now 0.68

Do you feel well with a TSH under 1? I feel like I’d feel hyper. I’m assuming with a little lower of a TSH and a little more free t4/t3 I’d be in a better spot. Hopefully!

Yes I feel better! But this condition is so strange - every one seems to be different !

You haven’t said what dose you are currently taking but I would say you have room for a 25 mcg increase per day.

FT4 - 40% through the range

FT3 - 42.11% through the range.

It appears you are a good converter if you are only taking Levothyroxine mono therapy.

I’m taking 100 mcg tirosint. Going to 125 mcg everyday seems like an astronomical jump, no?

I don’t think so, your percentages are very low.

I was thinking adding an extra 50 mcg per week to bring me to about 107 mcg/everyday

Well, of course it’s up to you to make a decision. It’s all trial and error and reaching the right dose takes time and patience 🫤 Why not give your idea a try and see how you feel.
