balance issues
I have had glaucoma for years, last December 2023i had cataracts done to help with opening angles, then in March I had SLT & my pressures went down to 13&17 but since then my balance is not good, it hasn’t been good for long enough but worse now, could it be to do with when I am in shops with the light

Loss of Sharpness after Eylea injection
Hello folks. My name is Michael. For years I was receiving shots of Eylea by a doctor that I trusted completely. About 3 years ago I moved and it was just too far to travel to continue seeing this great doctor. I then continued Eylea injections with a new Retina man. On about the 4th visit I noticed,

latanoprost and headaches
hi I’ve been using latanoprost eye drops for 7 weeks now, I have suspicious discs and a family history of glaucoma ( mother) and when prescribed my pressures were 22 in both eyes. For the last week I have woken with a headache, and I’m wondering if this could be related to the eye drops, as this is

wheat in cosmetics
I’m recently diagnosed with coeliac disease. I’m following a gluten free diet but have noticed that a product I bought to promote hair growth contains wheat germ amongst many other ingredients. As this product needs to be massaged into the scalp should I not use it?

Bioflex PMBT Device
Does anyone have any information or experience with the photobiomodulation (light delivered via low level laser) therapy device sold by the Bioflex Company located in Toronto, CA? Their claim is it energizes mitochondria, lowers inflammation, and promotes healing. Thanks - John G

Does anyone else over 60 with Glaucoma pay for eye lubrication in the UK ?
Apparently North East Essex patients have to pay for eye lubricants, also some areas of Somerset. Does anyone else ? It would be very useful to know. HRT now only costs £20 a year available to all women (probably only needed for a few years), so why not all Gaucoma medications ? Is lifetime conservation

NHS Somerset C.C.G have said they will not prescribe eye lubricants on prescription
Recently I have had difficulty obtaining my regular eye lubrication from the pharmacy and last week the G.P surgery told me that I would have to buy my own eye medication. I was given a leaflet explaining that the Somerset CCG considers these lubricating drops of limited clinical value and for minor

Pegasys --> Besremi and HCT
Hi, What a great forum - thanks to you all for contributing. I'm a 37 year old male - diagnosed with PV 3 years ago. I recently made the jump from Pegasys to Besremi. I was on 135ug every 9 days without need of supporting venesection (at least for the last 8 months or so). Since switching medication

EYE DROPS RECALLED
HI All, just thought it was a good idea to post after I read this worrying article on contaminated eye drops, the particular brands are in the US, as a user of preservative free eye drops everyday for my dry eyes, it was a good reminder to ensure I keep them clinically clean and use them only for short

Will my squint affect the outcome of the DVLA field test?
I recently advised the DVLA that I had Glaucoma and I have now received the "standard letter" from the DVLA telling me to book an appointment with Specsavers for my eyesight to be tested. I have my appointment on 27 March 2023 at 10.00am at the Totnes Branch of Specsavers. When I have had a field test
